Childhood
From blood and magic, fire and earth -- Azara was born. Her soul was crafted from the threads of life that weaved itself through the planet her mother colonized along with the concentration of primordial and divine elements. However, the infusion of too many aspects rendered the child mildly dysfunctional.

When Azara was created, she took on the form of a four year old girl. A wild, gluttonous, adorable, and loving child that was overly spoiled by her parents until she accidentally cloned herself and formed what would become her younger twin sister, Sorcha. Sorcha's mental instability and sadistic nature required all of her parents attention, but when both were too worn out from monitoring the planet or other ventures, Sorcha abused her older sister. Azara suffered from bruises, small scratches, and sometimes broken bones at the hand of her sibling. Concerned for her daughter's safety, Raven (their mother), left Azara in the care of the girl's godparents, Zaira and Shiva Devgan.

When Azara wasn't with her aunt and uncle, or being tormented by her demented sister, she experimented with her powers. She discovered early on her affinity for fire, which allowed her to do and conjure almost anything her little heart desired. She mostly generated portals to other worlds where she could explore and play without being spotted. But one day, she ran into a malnourished boy covered in blood. Azara returned to him day after day, bringing fruits and snacks from her homeworld. Eventually, she gained his trust, but they couldn't understand each other. She brought her mother along on one of the trips and discovered the boy was a slave. His family was gone and he had no where to go. Raven adopted the boy, taking him in as her son and later accepting him as an apprentice.

The first year of Azara's life (age four to five) was an excruciatingly difficult time, but just as things were starting to look up, it all took a turn for the worst. While the girls were playing a game, Sorcha lost her temper. She retreated to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and proceeded to stab her sister repeatedly until their mother returned home and saw the horrid mess. Raven threw Sorcha off her sister, then grabbed Azara and fled to the only place her daughter would safe, The Devgans.

With Azara's inability to feel pain, she didn't quite understand what happened that night or how lucky she was to be alive. She did, however, find great joy in being around her godparents. They showered her with praise, affection, and all the love her parents failed to give her.

A week after the horrid stabbing incident, Azara and Sorcha celebrated their fifth birthday, but the next day, Aedan (their father) and Sorcha disappeared. He went off to find a cure for their daughter's insanity, though whether he did or not remains a mystery. He never did return. As for Azara, she remained in the care of her aunt and uncle while her mother and brother went off to deal with the affairs of the planet.

Months after her birthday, Azara overhead her mother and uncle arguing in the backyard. A misunderstanding ensued. When her uncle asked her mother to spend more time with her, Azara assumed he didn't want her anymore. She was taking up too much of his time like her sister did with their father. She feared he'd take her aunt and disappear like Aedan and Sorcha did. She did her best to be the perfect child, but she broke down and threw a tantrum without explaining her feelings or fears. With no one to turn to on Zar Treskri, she retreated to earth, where she hid at the restaurant her uncle's parents owned. The issue was quickly resolved. That day, her uncle did more than take her back to Zar Treskri. He brought her home where her aunt was awaiting them to resume their family life together.

For the next two years, life passed by peacefully for Azara. She started her adacemic studies under her uncle's guidance and picked up a love of dancing because of her aunt. She also delved into arts (coloring and painting), cooking, gardening, sparring, and practicing magic. Everything came almost naturally to her except for school. The only part she did excel in was learning to speak new languages, but her slight dyslexia made it difficult for her to read or write.

A little after her seventh birthday, she found out her aunt was pregnant. Everyone was excited, but no one was more excited than Azara. She prayed to Lord Shiva (the god, not her uncle) for friends to play with. Her excitmenet quickly faded when she saw her aunt constantly sick or groaning in pain. She blamed herself for her aunt's misery and never left the woman's side. For weeks, Azara curled up in bed with her and refused to go out to play. It wasn't until her mother coaxed her out that Azara finally left the room.

Raven took Azara out to see the migration of giant fireflies. On the way over, they spotted a young boy and woman venturing through the wilds. Azara took a liking to the boy, Cyrus, who was only five years old than her compared to her older brother who was nearly ten. For personal reasons, Cyrus and his aunt remained on Zar Treskri for a month. In that month, Azara spent everyday with him. They played, danced, swam, cooked, and napped together in the quiet fields of Zar Treskri. Sadly, he left one day, but he promised he'd find her, again.

Not long after Cyrus left, her aunt gave birth to twin girls, Seraphina and Zephyrine. Azara proudly claimed herself to be their big sister and doted on their every move. A year later, her aunt had another set of twins, but this time, they were boys -- Vritra and Nagendra. She loved her siblings more than anything. However, her peaceful, 'normal' life was coming to an end.

Shortly after Azara turned ten, she fell gravely ill and drifted into a coma. No one could explain what was wrong with her except her mother. From the moment Azara drew her first breath, the planet itself imprinted onto her. Raven did everything she could to protect her daughter from its grasps, but to no avail. She was slowly losing her hold on the planet's will. The only she could do to keep Azara from being its host was to sacrifice herself. Raven broke the news to Shiva and Zaira, explaining it was the only option she had to save her daughter. That night, Azara was officially adopted into the Devgan household.
Inheritence
After the death of her mother, Azara took on the responsibilities she left behind. However, being only ten, she had a lot to learn before she was ready to take control of it all on her own. Her older brother, Rodain, helped her in that regard. He adhered to a strict schedule that included hours of practicing magic, learning weaponry, honing her skills in hand-to-hand combat, controlling her strength, and meditation. The rigorous schedule made it difficult for Azara to find time for anything else. She started to fall behind on the academic plans her uncle put together and she barely saw her siblings. Despite it all, she bore the exhaustion and hardship, knowing that her hard work was keeping her family safe.

In the next four years, Azara's power rapidly grew, but her patience was wearing thin. The brother she looked up to had turned into an overbearing parent, who expected perfection and punctuality in everything she did. To avoid him, she disappeared into other realms, and in doing so, she made friends that would later become her summons. Rodain's strict nature eventually pushed Azara too far. Beyond annoyed and irritated, she challenged him to a fight, which caused her to awaken her full magical potential. Her ivory hair permanently turned a fiery crimson and her blue eyes turned a radiant gold. After winning their fight, she banished her badly injured brother from Zar Treskri, the planet she protected. She then spent a month wandering around in the wilds because she was too afraid to face her family.

When Azara finally returned home, she was welcomed back with open arms. She longed to return to the life she missed, but it felt odd being with her family every hour of every day. She decided to venture to Earth where she picked up work as a mercenary, rescuing children that were kidnapped. During one of her missions, her employer discovered her talent for dancing. After doing a performance, she recieved more requests by others, who mostly live on planets far from Earth. She prefers dancing over her work as a merc, but her conscience won't let her quit.
Present
Life was finally getting back to normal for Azara. She was able to spend time with her siblings, enjoy her work on earth, and keep up with maintaining her isolated planet. However, chaos ensued during the months of winter. At the Avalon Ball, she ran into an old friend, Cyrus. She provided him help and was happy to see him, but they had to go their separate ways. When she returned home, weeks after the ball, Zar Treskri was under siege by its own creations. She struggled to maintain order and was nearly consumed. She later found out the reason for the attack was because her mother had been revived. The planet remained peaceful due to her mother's sacrifice, but without her her soul bound to the planet, Zar Treskri searched for a new host. Azara would have died had it not been for her summons and her family -- Zaira, Shiva, and Rodain.

After recovering from the incident, Azara made amends with her brother. She then tried to reconcile with her mother, but they were too different. Azara created arguments out of everything her mother said, so Raven didn't visit much. If she did, Azara usually left. She either went off to work or ventured around Zar Treskri. On her way back from one of her jobs, she found Cyrus and his friend, Moe Moe. A massive battle ensued that resulted in the destruction of a secluded dimension, Cyrus's home. Azara allowed him and the friends he sheltered there to move to Zar Treskri. However, on their return home, Rodain found that Azara and Cyrus were infected by a strange power. To protect Zar Treskri, he isolated them in another dimension with Moe Moe. What was only a few days on Zar Treskri turned out to be an entire year in the alternate world. Azara was upset with Rodain for a while, but she was happy to spend time with her new brother and little sister, Cyrus and Moe Moe.

Upon returning to Zar Treskri, she resumed her old life, which included extra doting of her younger siblings, pestering her aunt for cuddles, and stuffing her face with as much of her uncle's cooking as she possibly could. She also started to take her role as Gaia (protector of Zar Treskri) more seriously. Her grandfather eagerly assists in teaching her the responsibilities of a leader, but she struggles with the concepts of alliances. Ironically, fate has placed many of Avalon's allies on her path recently to aid in her learning.

The Devgans
Uncle Shiva
Out of everyone in her life, Azara admires and respects her uncle the most. He pushed her to get an education, taught her the value of life, how to cook, to fend for herself, a love of traveling, and shared with her his culture and religion. He raised and loved her as his own daughter, instilling within her confidence and pride to be all that she is. Without him, there is no telling what type of person Azara might have become.
Aunty Zaira,
Free-spirited, flirtatious, passionate -- these are just a few of the characteristics that Azara inherited from her adoptive mother. She also learned multiple languages, dance, and developed a deep love for dragons. As a child, Azara loved the time she spent with her aunt, getting cuddles, eating jerky, coloring, and dressing up. Things didn't change much as she got older, but thanks to her aunt, Azara flourished into a stunning young woman with a strong-will and compassionate soul.
Seraphina
Potentially the brightest and most responsible of the Devgan children, Seraphina is reserved and mature, which makes it difficult for Azara to bond with her. The only time they talk is when Sera is scolding Azara for doing something silly. Though they have nothing in common, Azara does try to win her sister over with healthy snacks from her trips rather than candies and other junk food.
Zephyrine
Cheerful and adventurous, Azara spends a great deal of her time shopping and traveling with her sister, Zephyrine. At times, they argue over petty things, but they quickly forgive each other through the magic of cooking and dance. She envies her sister's laid-back attitude, and finds peace in her presence.
Vritra,
Azara and Vi are constantly at each others throats. She's harder on him than her other siblings because of his quips and short-temper. As punishment for his cruelty, she ties him up and leaves him there until her uncle scolds her. Though she'll never admit it, Vritra is the sibling she is closest to.
Nagendra
Quiet and shy, Nagi is Azara's favorite sibling, because he never pushes her away. As Nagi got older, he always allowed Azara to get all the hugs and snuggles she wanted. In return, Azara spoils him, despite his protests and egging to share with his siblings.
Zar Treskri Bonds
Rodain Theskiar
Azara has a love-hate relationship with Rodain. Since they are ten years a part, he tends to act more like a parent rather than an older brother. However, he does view Azara as his savior. In his eyes, she is God, and he treats anyone close to her with utmost respect.
Aroura Valentine
Wherever Azara goes, Aurora is usually right there with her. She can take on the form of a human child, but prefers her dragon form, either travel size or terrifyingly large. Like her other summons, Azara treats Aurora as a partner and her equal. Sadly, the girl was cursed as an adolscent, and has not aged since that day. Together, they hope to find a way to break the curse.
Itmenisk
After fully awakening her magical powers, Azara went to Imenisk, the Guardian of Fire on Zar Treskri. He offered to replace her human blood with his dragon blood, turning her into a half fae, half dragon. He is also her favorite champion and accompanies her everywhere on Zar Treskri.
The Knights
Cyrus Knight
Cyrus is Azara's best friend, and recently, her new older brother. When they are able to see each other, they love dancing and cooking together. They also take their little sister, Moe Moe, everywhere they go. Although they boy have many responsibilities, they always find time for each other.
Moe Moe
Through Cyrus, Azara gained a little sister. She spoils Moe Moe rotten with candy, praise, and lots of affection. The young girl is talented in magic and posses a power that rivals her own. Regardless, Azara is overprotective of Moe Moe, but she can't be around often. She leaves Moe Moe in the loving care of Cyrus, knowing that both will take care of the other.
The Avalons
Raven Avalon
Azara's relationship with her mother remains strained. She always felt that her mother abandoned her and loved her sister more. She also has nothing in common with her. Anytime Raven makes a suggestion, Azara explodes and loses her temper. Only time will tell if their bond will be fixed.
William Avalon
Despite having a bad relationship with her mother, Azara does love the woman's partner. William has a warm, gentle, and kind spirit that helps to put her mind at ease. She loves to cuddle up with him and lounge around in the sun. However, with her busy schedule and her mother's revival, she rarely gets to see the little ferret anymore.
Demise Avalon
In her eyes, her grandfather is an ideal king -- stoic, powerful, and charming -- but as a grandparent, he's a lunatic. He's made a fool of himself on more than one occasion trying to make her laugh or smile. Though she does get embarrassed, she appreciates the effort he makes. Also, being the only grandchild he has, she is extremely spoiled.
