Rules and Regulations.
I'm hoping this will be on the shorter side of things. I'm not honestly sure if these are even read anymore, but my OCD will be better suited if I write all of this down and know that it's complete. Just some general rules and guidelines that I've developed over the years I've been role playing. They are basic, probably pretty damn similar to the other 8 million people who have these blog posts.
If you add me, I would request that you make an effort to be the first to contact me. I generally prefer that we discuss a story line before jumping straight into one. I would like something more than just "Hey" as an introduction. I'm not asking for a life story, but just something with a little extra flair would be greatly appreciated. On the other side of the coin, if I am the one to add you, I hold myself to the same rule of thumb, and I will make an absolute effort to get in touch with you first.
I greatly enjoy some good OOC chat. I may not seem it, but I'm actually a pretty friendly and sociable person. I am not strictly here to write stories and nothing else. Just want to chat for awhile before discussing or writing? Fine by me. As long as we get to the role playing at some point, it's no skin off my teeth. That being said, unless we get to be close, I will not disclose any personal information whatsoever. Hell, even if we do become buds, I will probably not dish out much personal info. Trust me - I'm not interesting or exciting, so you're not missing much.
I do not tolerate theft of my pictures. I take about .05 seconds to edit them, but nonetheless, I do edit them, and tag them. There is absolutely no reason to take them, they're not hot stuff. Same goes for my starters or replies. Don't snatch them up and use them as your own. Plagiarism and all that jazz.
Crossovers are not only encouraged, they are actively desired! There are really no universes that I am not game to write a story line in. As long as we make a discussion and it sounds like something that could work and we would both enjoy writing it - let's do it!
I'm not here for it. I mentioned above I enjoy a good OOC chat, and I meant that. But I don't want to be dragged into any sort of drama - and I sure as hell won't be talking or venting about any of mine. That strictly stays in the real world. I'm already an awkward person, please don't make me even more awkward and uncomfortable with OOC drama.
Wasn't too bad, was it? Naaahh. I'm sure I'm forgetting things, that's how it always goes. If something genius pops into my brain, I'll add it in here. But for the most part, I think we're good to go. If you could read these and add your John Hanc*ck onto it - I would greatly appreciate that!
