Luka tells Yuki he was considered a slave because he belonged to the Crosszeria clan (also known as the "Clan of the Traitor"), and that all the other Duras were intent on punishing the whole family and all its descendants. The demon king owned Luka, and as a symbol of this, he formed a permanent covenant by putting his own blood into Luka's Brand Zess. The demon king's blood made the mark on Luka's arm glow red, and it caused Luka a great deal of pain during the process. Years later, Luka is still haunted by the memory and feels physically ill when recalling it. Because it was a covenant, if Luka should ever betray the demon king, he would die. Luka explains to the current incarnation of Yuki that since he made a new contract with Yuki, the previous contract with the demon king was nullified, allowing Luka to live. However, Luka hints that the prior contract with the demon king may not be completely nullified. Our whole lives are just stories. Yuki Giou Yuki can heal the wounds of the Zweilts by taking the pain for them. By physical touch, he can also see a person's emotional pain and bears it as his own. Earlier in the series, it was shown that he produced a light thats called "God's Light" by the Zweilts that slowly heals and eases the pain of the wounded. However, Duras cannot stand this light and are destroyed by it apart from Luka, who has a contract with Yuki. His special technique is the "Halo Wall" which protects those inside it from harm. However this technique takes a severe toll on Yuki. Halo Wall consumes a lot of energy for a short period of timeline when cast. Yuki ended up sleeping for two whole days when he used this technique for the first time. It was also shown that his power can run amok when he is under great emotional stress, and when it does "it dispells all darkness." Yuki though died and was mysteriously reborn as a man. It is said that it was her wish to be reborn as a man and forget about everything. Now,Yuki and Luka seem to have a complicated relationship. Luka and Yuki deeply care about each other but Luka hasn't told him about them being lovers in the past. Luka is also shown to be to completely dedicated to him, as says he will be with him always whatever he chooses to do, and he worries about him. Luka doesn't want him to heal his wounds when he is hurt so that he won't suffer. Luze Crosszeria When these Crosszeria twins were younger they liked a lot of the same things but as Luka was taken on as the Brand Zess, They started going in different directions. Luka was training constantly and running errands for Him (Demon King) while Luze was allowed to grow up and do much of what he wanted. And Luze secretly want to reach his twin brother, then he become 1st general class Opast in Infernus. However, Luka Crosszeria or "Zess" become of a traitor and abandon his clan. Luze who was on duty, heard this fact directly facing the Demon King and He told him to become the a new successor. He eventually signed to Reiga and summoned to earth. His Goal only Luka. Luze is the only option after Luka abandoned their clan but it is an odd situation with Luka Crosszeria still being "bound" to Him (Demon King) under the contract on his arm (Bloody-cross). Protocol of the Kingdom dictates that Luze is new successor but Luka being Brand Zess complicates the situation. Movies

It is located on the upper left arm and identified as XX (a double x) type-mark that can never be erased. The brand automatically makes the bearer a sinner, a descendant of the Duras who gave the humans a list of the true names of his fellow Duras, allowing the Duras to be summoned and enslaved. In Infernus, all Zess have the status of slaves, despite their actual power level. Giou Clan (祇王一族 Giō Ichizoku) A clan "touched by God" which manifests in the possession of special abilities. Many of its members are involved in the political and financial world. The Giou clan can use their special abilities to fight the duras that threaten the balance of the human world. Giou Takashiro is the current head of the clan. Opasts (オーパスト Ōpasuto) High-ranking Duras who take on beautiful human forms in order to lure and deceive their enemies. The highest ranking of which are the General class, who are only second to the Demon King in power and aristocracy. " I will never betray you ." Television Personality At first sight, people think of Luka as agressive or scary due to his serious look, but he is a kind-hearted, generous and protective person towards those important to him. He is also shown to be very strong, possessing both magic and melee abilities. However, when it comes to protecting those he cares for, he won't hesitate to kill. He doesn’t seem to value the lives of his enemies in any way and can even come off as cruel and merciless. This is due to his past conditioning and instincts. He does also not experience emotions in the same way humans do. He tends to seem indifferent towards many things and when he does feel any kind of emotion, he keeps it hidden. Books Appearance Luka is a tall fit man with silver eyes. He has piercings on his cartilage and corner areas of his left ear. Luka is mostly seen wearing a black sleeveless long dress coat, black pants and shoes, double black belts and a black choker.
