"What good is power when you can’t protect the ones you love?"
Alerah is the only child and heir of King Elras III Valaeris and his wife Queen Aryana Valaeris, neé Greystark. With her parents slaughtered on the battle field, Alerah was left to take command of the noble family House Valaeris and the kingdom of Aria as it's one and only true ruler. The burden was one none expected to be thrusted upon the girl's shoulders at such a young age. Alerah had been preparing for this all her life, given she was the only heir of House Valaeris, and with the House's trustworthy council of advisors by her side it was expected for her rule to run smoothly. However, that truly wasn't the case. Her inexperience coupled with her doubts and insecurities led to her kingdom's demise. Those who weren't slaughtered were taken prisoner much like herself by the unknown invaders who overthrew her reign. Barbarians, giants, orcs, ogres. All followed one immense and intimidating figure who seemed to have a hatred for the young noble girl and her family. She didn't know the reason, nor was there a point in her knowing since it seemed nothing would save her from her fate.
Even if still young, Alerah shows to be blossoming into a promising ruler who the people rejoiced at having. However, having a heart of gold didn't make up for her misguided decisions. She is a smart girl but lacked experience which made her careless, and often ignore her council's advice. Alerah was mostly trained by Sir Jaelar Rahtalos, the knight who leads the Royal Guards in her kingdom. As her father's closest friend, he could tell from the beginning the young Alerah was a natural at wielding blades. However, this made the people fear she would be a cruel and bloodthirsty ruler like her father had been but Alerah has shown to be much more merciful, a feat taken after her late mother Aryana.
The House Valaeris bloodline has been around for centuries, and were recognized as dragon riders before the fire-breathers became extinct. With this in mind, Alerah is one of the many people who will attempt to tame Baesemion of the Ironskin . Her chances of being burned alive by his flames are less likely, but she is unaware of this given she doesn't know the true identity of the dragon.

(I suggested the idea of Alerah being captured because of her backstory. That doesn't mean you have to go for that or that you have to play her captor. We can make our story be in a different point in time where she has not been captured if you wish. We could add the characters related to her story into the mix. We could have it take place before she takes the crown, while she is still only a princess and her parents are alive. Your character could be a knight, another monarch, one of her servants. I will more than happily listen to any and all story suggestions, and we can make adjustments. We don't need to have the story be in my verse either, but I would keep everything within my canon story or else I'd be changing my character as a whole. Their world is what makes them who they are after all. But I'm definitely willing to work within a different universe so long as it goes with my character.)
I'm perfectly fine with whatever your preference would be as I can use this character in about any scenario. I suppose it would boil down to what you feel like doing, as long as I get a roleplay that can shake my rust off I'm more than willing to do whatever floats your boat.
Greetings milady, I thank you kindly for accepting my request. It is an honor to make your acquaintance. I read through your characters background, and I have to say, I am quite intrigued! I definitely think that both your characters world and my characters world would fit quite well together. With that said, if you would like to discuss a storyline, I would be more than happy to indulge. I know that my characters information is rather vague on my profile, so if it is your wish, I would be happy to reveal any details that you might require. After reading your background and reading a little about your characters world, I imagine that he would be an outsider from another continent, seeing that he actually belongs to a kingdom.
I'm sure that the two of us can come up with something truely epic and amazing. Until then, I look forward to your response, and hope this finds you well.
I am more accustomed to fantasy themed genres that have a high magic setting, considering my character is from the Pathfinder setting, but I can still fit into just about anything, if that is too difficult!
I would absolutely love to discuss a storyline or connection with you, so please don't be afraid to message or comment me! Lets go on an adventure!
