He kept holding on as if his life depended on it and actually it did. With his true form, his frame was way to fragile and falling at this height could really hurt him or worse. He stayed calm, taking in a few deep breaths before letting the air leave his lungs again. 'Gotta stay calm, don't panic' he said since he had to save his energy in case something else went wrong. He can't look behind him to see if Shota was okay. The large scar on his side started to send some waves of pain that almost made him lose his grip on his left hand. He can't stress his body out like this but who's to blame...himself. He should of listened, he should of left when he had the chance...but it's hard to kill a kind heart like Toshinori's who was always there when things got tough. He was about to ask for Shota but that's when his voice came clear behind him. He smiled the instant he felt the cloth wrap around him but again guilt hit him hard. "Sorry...." was all he could say but he could say much more.
That's all everyone ever did around him, worry about him and his safety. This...this isn't how he saw his life turning out to be. Guilt washed over his face as he felt like some helpless person that just needed care all the time. He clenched his hands at his side as he just wanted to yell that he wanted to help even though that was impossible. He hated this...hated feeling like a weakling. Toshinori found himself snapping out of his mind when Aizawa came over to him. The look on his face...it was painful to read. He knew the pro hero meant well and didn't want to see blonde get hurt but still! "Shota I-" his words were cut short when the building started to shake and before he could react it started to crack and break around them both. Eyes grew wide as Shota was thrown back. All train of thought left him as he tried to reach for him but as a result the ground under him broke free. He would of fell to the ruble on the ground but his quick actions still lingered in him as he reached for the closest thing he could catch and his hands took a hold of a ripped metal beam. Panic set in as he held for dear life. "Not good not good!"
He noticed the way Aizawa had changed as if he felt something was wrong. He was about to ask when he felt something too and it caused a shiver to run down his spine. "What is it?" he asked as he watched the other head towards the window. He wanted to see what it was but he knew the other would just push him back. But...how can he just leave?! This isn't the way he has lived throughout his career as a hero. He was always there for others, always wanting to save the day and making sure others are okay but this...this was killing him on the inside.
He just looked right through him...Shota had a knack at finding out the liars. He rubbed the back of his head once again before he spoke. "I'm still adjusting. Not being to do much of anything...gets to m at times." he admits and a sigh left his lips which didn't hold that smile anymore. It was a habit of his though, smiling all the time so others can have hope and a positive attitude but it seems it wasn't working for Shota. "But I'm still okay aside from that."
'How are you?' Something he has been asked many times over and every time he wanted to say no he wasn't but of course he can't be a downer about it every time about his whole retirement thing. "I'm alright, well as alright as can be." he said as he scratched the back of his own head.
