Zhan Toyotomi (豊臣, Zhan Toyotomi), born Zhan Soseji (ソーセージ) is a Saiyan born into the archaic order of King's Guard called the 'Zhan', sworn to protect the Royal family. He is the eldest son of Tonkatsu (later Zhan Akiyama), the older brother to Zhan Jiao-long, Zhan Hideyoshi and Zhan Pomella, the father of Zhan Nobunaga and Zhan Meilin, and mentor his clone Zhan Toshiue. Born with a power level of 5,000, he was originally sent to Planet Yardrat as an infant to conquer the planet for the Frieza Force. However, being born a rather passive Saiyan allotted him to grow up to become Yardrats greatest defender and the unifier of the Zhan Family after Planet Vegeta's destruction. He constantly strives and trains vigorously to be the greatest warrior possible, which has kept Yardrat and his section of Universe 7 safe from destruction many times. Zhan Toyotomi's a warrior in body and spirit, and a brilliant inventor and engineering mind. He's built his own ship the Grand Tour I-II from scratch, created his own virtual intelligence and its construct - BARRU as well as an artificial intelligence named PEPONI who helps him with much of his day to day and is a trusted partner when dealing with extreme situational calculations.

Stern, calm and with a stalwart lionhearted mind. He is a truly kind soul, wishing nothing but to help those in need. However, he houses a deep rage that seems to run within his bloodline. After his death at the hands of the Majin, Zagan Yakashima, Toyotomi became obsessed with becoming as strong as possible. To be stronger than Zagan and anyone like him. This obsession has hindered his growth, something that the pirate Paipuru noticed and relayed to him. Something that during the training for the Battle of Yardrat, Paipuru and Toyotomi worked through. Embracing his rage and Saiyan heritage that he once pushed away. Now, he is a warrior at heart, but maintains his gentle soul.

Temperament

Zhan Toyotomi is kind, caring, selfless, serious, highly intelligent, calculating and wise. He has a strong sense of justice, honor and good morals. On the battlefield, he is a great fighter, leader and tactician. He can be cold and ruthless towards his enemies, but he also has a sense of compassion for enemies who were turned from the right path, this can also be a detriment as he can be hopeful in this, if the foe proves to be a fun match. His demeanor toward acquaintances is warm and respectful when such is given to him. Although, he has shown to be suspicious of any who come off too nice or friendly, finding it to be just unrealistic. He embraces his Saiyan heritage and fighting spirit to face unimaginably strong foes but doesn't partake in the enjoyment of causing or seeing the grief of others. He fights to win, to prove his skills, to better himself overall. However, if pushed he will kill. So to prevent if possible such encounters in the future.

Zhan Toyotomi is very proud of his strength. After concluding Soba's training, he's trained day in and day out to push himself beyond his plateau's and reach new levels. This remained a constant even during the Miskatonic Wars, in any downtime he had he could be found doing strenuous exercises or testing his strength. He is commonly known as a brave and kind-hearted man with a strong sense of justice, morality and righteousness. He goes out of his way to help those who can't help themselves, but when someone can defend themselves he'll generally not interfere. In one instance, a woman was getting robbed and a random citizen arrived to assist her, that citizen was injured in the attempt. Toyotomi appeared to offer aide afterward, giving the man the chance to do his duty, but wouldn't let him get killed. His analytic nature causes him to overthink situations; both positive and negative. His schooling from Soba on Yardrat in multiple forms of sciences, technology, linguistics as well as strategic combat. He is also an adamant believer of protecting those who can't protect themselves.

Zhan Toyotomi is a man of honor and thus abides by the code of the warrior. He fights to improve his skills and defeat powerful foes - though on rare occasion, he does so to gauge the other's abilities. Although, later in his life, he revealed that he killed his teacher as was the custom to attain the rank of Warrior-Servant, Toyotomi did so in combat, and thus can be said to have not transgressed on his principles. This moral code consists of;
I. Protect the women and children.
II. The responsibility to ensure your families survival.
III. The patience to wait for the right time.
IV. The sacrifice needed to protect the innocent.
V. The will to never give up until you succeed.
VI. The trust to leave your back to your allies.
VII. The honesty to never betray your allies.

Although, with extensive pros, Toyotomi also shares a few well-known cons. One of these ugliest features is his beastly temper - inherent in the Zhan family. He isn't easily set off which makes setting him off challenging, but with the right conduit, he can and has fallen into an unyielding rage that few can quell. The most notably known triggers are; The Majin, his families well-being and Zagan Yakashima. During these fits of rage, Toyotomi exhibits nearly uncontrollable anger. These cons have been treated during his training with Paipuru, Akiyama, Mel and Toshiue in that place which helped him confront his issues and the post-developed P.T.S.D toward the Majin, and the memory of Zagan.

Appearance

Zhan Toyotomi's appearance has drastically changed throughout the years.

During his adolescence, he was a portly boy. An uncommon trait for most Saiyan males, but an early struggle for Soseji at that period. After being found by Soba and brought in as a disciple, he worked off the fat and turned it into muscle. After years of hard work and vigorous training, Zhan Toyotomi's physique formed into what he'd have until just before his disappearance. He had the physique of a partially burly male but overall slender, and he regularly cut his naturally long and unruly hair, something he did as a respectful gesture to Soba's teachings on keeping a trimmed appearance. During his training, his attire was that of a warrior-servant of Yardrat - simple white gi, black wraps around the ankles and flat wushu-like shoes. Upon his death on Earth, he met a few Metamorans. Being in awe of their articles of clothing, enamored with the style. The Metamoran pair offered Toyotomi a fresh pair of their gi as a friendly gesture. He graciously accepted and wears them to this day. The original Metamoran design was later altered to fit Toyotomi's later love of cloaks and capes.

After his re-appearance from the Miskatonic Wars in early-Age 780, his old common gear has been damaged. He's taken to wearing his own rebreather he constructed to breathe in the depths of space. Remnants of his common clothing remain, the olive-colored shirt remains albeit with the Zhan family crest woven into the left chest. The padding of the shoulders have been destroyed and in replacement, Toyotomi wears a leather strap harness that's worn like a backpack, on the back is a sheath for a sword. He's dropped the leather gloves for leather forearm guards. His tail is no longer hidden in his trousers but sways free. His physique has changed drastically as well. Appearing now, almost like a hulking brute, his muscle mass has increased substantially. His hair has grown to its normal length, a wild unruly mane of black. He has and continues to exercise all parts of his body to its physical peak constantly, that includes his tail. The tail grabbing weakness that plagued him since he was small as it does all Saiyans, has been worked through. However, he does still dislike being grabbed by the tail. He is by far the bulkiest of the Zhan family to date.

Background

Soseji was born sometime in Age 736, one year before the events of the Great Turmoil. Following a Saiyan custom, Soseji was sent as a baby to planet Yardrat, in order to destroy its inhabitants and clear the planet for its future sale. As Yardrat's inhabitants were considered physically weak, their techniques of manipulating Space and Time caused for concern among the Frieza Force. Soseji being born with the power level of above average (5,000), he was best suited to send, live among the inhabitants, grow strong and follow his initial purpose. After doing his duty, he'd return to Planet Vegeta and take his station as a King's guard or Zhan. A term of great esteem. An archaic Saiyan word for Knight, it was of the highest honor one could receive from the King.

After crash-landing on Yardrat's old world continent; being largely dense forests and lack of technology, Soseji raised himself among the wild beasts of the planet for fourteen years of his life. Gaining such skills as a survival instinct, focus, and patience. On one faithful day fourteen years after his landing, Soseji entered into Yardratian society on accident. After hours of tracking Chivak; A large alien boar-deer-esque creature. Rushed from the dense forests to a much more populated region of Yardratians. Chasing down the Chivak before being caught off guard and the young Soseji slipped and fell a great distance, losing his meal and sustaining major injuries. However, the People of Yardrat quickly gathered him and began to nurse him back to full health. With his genetics, he healed in a relatively short time and gained a boost in power. With these skills, one particular Yardratian caught wind of him and decided to take Soseji under his wing. The Yardratian's name is Soba, their most powerful warrior and savior.

At some point during this period, Soseji adopted the name - Toyotomi as well as turning the rank his direct lineage upheld into a surname, becoming Zhan Toyotomi.

Soba trained Toyotomi for the rest of his days in an advanced training format. Such as; simplistic and advanced weighted training (Such as wearing weighted bracelets designed by Yardrat scientists that can go up the heaviest weight of sixty tons on all four limbs.) under multitudes of gravity heavier then Yardrat's own, which is comparable to Earths. The heaviest weight Soba and Toyotomi trained the basics x300 Yardrat's gravity. Secondly, teaching him the basics of focusing his Ki manipulation, sensing Ki at various distances, masking ones power, harnessing it offensive and defensively, the effects of moving so fast to leave an image of ones self behind, moving fast enough to vibrate ones body to dodge an attack momentarily, flight, even the Instant Transmission technique; one of the many skills that make the people of Yardrat worthy foes. During the training, Soba found Toyotomi's body to be quite astounding. It being able to deal with the gradual increase of until the max of six hundred and fifty times increase of weight which he himself had trouble dealing with. Let alone the weighted bracelets. Soba found his student's endurance and strength to be one to truly note. With Soba's training, Toyotomi slimmed down from his previous fat exterior into a burly yet athletic toned young adult. Through Soba's wisdom and guidance, Toyotomi gained the understanding of protecting those who need to be protected, if they can't protect themselves. Helping those in need. The opposite of what Saiyans are known for. Before long, Toyotomi reached maturity and his first trails as a Saiyan Elite began sometime after an individual landed on Yardrat in critical condition. During this time, Toyotomi ventured out and opted to train alone after sensing the alien's incredible power. While Soba trained the alien in the Instant Transmission technique, Toyotomi trained in seclusion at the Pu-Tao Mountains; Yardrat's most desalinate and dangerous mountainous region.

With the alien gone from Yardrat for a few days, Toyotomi returned from his secluded training only to find the alien known as Son Goku had left and with that the landing of the remnants of the Planetary Trade Organization. With the defeat of Frieza, the Frieza Force continued as normal. It's employee's found records of the world's scheduled for cleansing, Planet Yardrat. The Frieza Force breached Yardrats atmosphere and gave an ultimatum to the Yardratians trying to avoid combat due to its lack of forces during the Namek battles. Optionally hand the planet to them or be stomped under the heel of the Frieza Force. Soba immediately took action and mounted a surprise assault against them with the help of Toyotomi and a few other Yardrat warriors. With the combined skill and power of Yardrat's finest warriors, the forces of the Frieza Force didn't stand a chance against them. After hours of the constant conflict, only Soba and Toyotomi survived and destroyed the Frieza Force's flagship and the executive heads of the Frieza Force. This caused a swift conclusion of the Battle of for Yardrat, giving the title to Soba and Toyotomi as the protectors of Yardrat; while the dead were mourned and given proper burials.

Sometime after the Battle of Yardrat, and Toyotomi learning about the Planetary Trade business, the Frieza Force and their operations. Found records of Saiyan's purpose within the Frieza Force and learned of his original purpose on Yardrat; it's destruction, cleansing, and preparation for sale. Toyotomi was found such unsettling by this discovery, which he told Soba of this and the two had a long conversation. With Soba's wisdom, Toyotomi felt he knew what he had to do; Leave Yardrat and travel the universe. With leaving Yardrat set in his mind and with Soba's help, they fixed his old Saiyan pod and removed its tracking beacon. With Yardrat's best minds reworking the machinery and ledger on all planets marked for Frieza Force 'preparations' where pulled from its mainframe. With this list, Toyotomi found such information on some of these worlds truly intriguing and the peoples skills incredible and so set out to search these worlds for strong fighters to fight and grow stronger himself.

{Terminology; B.S.S - Before Series Start | A.S.S - After Series Start | S.L.O - Story-lined Out}

- Leaving Yardrat and remembering Soba speak of Son Goku's adventures on Earth, Toyotomi used his old Attack Pod (Attack Pod) to reach the Earth (Events of Earth Saga IV). Meeting with his first love; Zara Luciferious and enjoying yajomb with her as well as meeting Son Rikken. After staying on Earth for a few months, various increasingly high power levels appeared on Earth. Although Toyotomi was considerably strong, he found himself in awe of the powers on Earth. Two of which he met; Trunks and Vegeshin and gaining two new allies in them. Toyotomi soon after finding the Two-Star Dragonball was engaged by a Majin; Zagan Yakashima. The two began fighting which Toyotomi proved no match for the Majin, but at least delivered a blow to his face and cause Zagan to bleed only for Toyotomi to be slammed to the ground. Their battle concluded with a Ki-energy beam struggle which Zagan won and completely destroyed Toyotomi. [A.S.S | S.L.O]

- After the events of Earth Toyotomi ended up in Otherworld, because of his good deeds on Yardrat and on Earth. Toyotomi was granted the option to train for 10,000 years for a chance to train with the Grand Kai, which he accepted. Meeting Tapion - the hero of Kannas, Olibu - Hero of Earth and a very free-spirited Kaioshin named Saisei - who enjoyed cooking which Toyotomi found a close friendship in. As Toyotomi trained, she would feed him. After training for a few years with Tapion and Olibu, memories of his defeat to Zagan became overbearing and Toyotomi achieved the form of Super Saiyan. - Toyotomi continued training in Otherworld taking on a more personal style, learning to harness and control the Super Saiyan form. Being particularly difficult, Toyotomi thought to merely do everyday task's while in his Super Saiyan form, a type of regulation of Ki consumption and to turn the Super Saiyan form into a base form with all the pro's and lessening the con's of the transformation. Training vigorously with Tapion and Olibu in the form and eating as well as conversing with the other deceased warriors from different worlds like the Metamorans - which Toyotomi gained a preference for their style of clothing, Namekian Warrior and Dragon caste members, Kabito Kai - which Toyotomi assist and is given the gift form the Old Kai of unlocked potential, old Yardrat warriors and various others all while remaining in Super Saiyan form. After a while, trouble began on Namek with a Turles and his band of pirates. Toyotomi wished to give assistance and from proving himself in Otherworld Saisei gave up her own life force for Toyotomi to live once more. [A.S.S | S.L.O]

- Appearing on Namek just after Turles planted the Tree of Might, Toyotomi met with a powerful resistance of Future Trunks (From a different dimension than the one Toyotomi met on Earth), Alexia, Jiao-Long, Satsumaimo, Vegeshin, Akunza, and Genkai. Little did they know the evil wizard Bibidi cast his magic over the villainous Turles and his pirates, empowering them to Majin's. Toyotomi sensing the pungent energy of the Majin snapped into a rage and sped off to do battle and gain information on Zagan's whereabouts. Much to his disappointment, Vegeshin and the rest battled the forces of the Majin alongside Toyotomi. However, Turles got away before Toyotomi could question him on the Majin's location. Sometime after the battle of New Namek Toyotomi met with Zhan Jiao-long and Sax forming an alliance between Namek and Yardrat. Sax moved with Toyotomi's help to Yardrat where he created Dragonball's for the planet and became the planets Kami (Guardian) [A.S.S | S.L.O]

- Sometime after the Battle of New Namek (New Namek Saga 2014) Toyotomi ventured out into space and landed back on Earth to see Zara once more, they enjoyed yajomb again. However, it ended on a bittersweet moment when Zara broke off their relationship. Toyotomi understood, but the two decided to remain friends. Sometime later, he went back to space and landed on a planet called Athens R2133 where Toyotomi assisted in saving a young woman enslaved by a pirate band of the Frieza Force. Toyotomi saved the young women named Morikio, after killing the pirates Morikio asked Toyotomi to come with him - he was the only person willing to help her out of the crowd of people and having his own hatred for the Frieza Force; Toyotomi nodded willingly to help the women get back on her feet. After their paths diverged, Toyotomi returned back to Yardrat. [A.S.S | S.L.O]

- On Planet Yardrat Jiao came to visit, and an incident caused Toyotomi to transform into an Ozaru - Golden Ozaru at that. However, he couldn't control the state as he used to. In the midst of this massive upheaval, Jiao, with the assistance of the A.I's PEPONI (Toyotomi's A.I) and HIRO(Jiao's A.I) Toyotomi's optical nerves were shut down, blocking the blutz waves and with a Peponi shut down certain anatomical systems that caused him to return to his normal state. However, something happened in the process. Toyotomi was in a deep coma after it. Placed under by Peponi to return him to normal. During the months, Jiao took care of Toyotomi with the help of their niece Zhan Ling-ling. [A.S.S | S.L.O]

- This particular period of Toyotomi's life was uneventful as he was under the coma. However, after 5 months under the coma, a strange event occurred. Unknown magic plucked Toyotomi's comatose being from the whole of Universe 7 into its another dimension. He and another were brought before beings in white robes were the culprits. What seemingly took Peponi months to try and heal, these entities healed in an instant. Breaking Toyotomi from his induced comatose state much to his newly awakened bemused state was brought to the attention to these entities as well as the events of their world. There was a massive war, and as a type of gods, they shouldn't personally intervene, however, through these 'Sentinenls' they could enforce their will. And thus sent Tohr and Zhan Toyotomi out into the world to fight in their war as their personal representatives. [A.S.S | S.L.O]

- It was 3 long years of fighting on the edge. Fighting against creatures that seemed to be from fairy tales; Lich's, goblins, dragons, hybrids of these creatures. After multiple moments of almost falling to the war, Toyotomi pulled on the power he didn't know he had and discovered he could do things that were deeply embedded into his DNA. Over this period, Toyotomi bonded with Tohr whom he learned was a Saiyan as well. The pair stumbled upon an ice palace where they awakened another being called Baleel who joined them on their quest and aimed to finish the fight and end this war that ravaged this pocket universe. It took the trio, 5 months to conclude it. The gods stepped in and sealed the rogue god away, allowing the Tohr and Toyotomi to leave and go back to their home Universes. Zhan Toyotomi popped up in his home, 3 years later. Jiao and Ling-ling were gone. He had no idea where to begin anew, but he took the first steps back. [A.S.S | S.L.O]
