Orianna is a powerful meta-human of only 20 years of age. She is quick-witted, skillful, artistic and rebellious, and has a deep, private affection and respect for those with overwhelming strength in muscle or intelligence. She's a small girl with a petite frame but her superhuman ability quickly proves she is anything but weak.
Orianna was originally found as an 6-year-old orphan that had been abandoned from her former family, cast out for they were mentally disillusioned and . She stole upon the streets to get by until she was taken in by an affluent family though known for some of their less than savory deeds. They owned an aristocratic bar named the The Golden Pawn downtown. Here she worked as a simple maid, sweeping floors and carrying the pipes of the rich and sometimes famous that flourished in her town as they passed through.
When Orianna came of age she was expected to become a barmaid in the establishment, but she ultimately crumbled during her first week, leaving her clients less than happy with her. Her adoptive father immediately considered her to be a failure with how incompetent she was at such a task, even at her young age. Her adoptive mother was loving and cared for her, not caring for the unrelenting anger of her father towards her. Her anxiousness, sadness and frustration eventually combined to release a powerful resonance of emotion in her heart. This ripple of conflict unlocked the genetic holding an inactive ability inside of her, revealing she had been a dormant Psychic.
Psychics made up around 20% of the population currently, growing since the past 40 years. They were humans that were either born with or developed a superhuman gift that was hidden deep within their genetics. Most generally developed hostile personalities and became detriments to society that were viewed as dangerous. Fortunately they were relatively weak in comparison to the other Psychics born without the sudden desire for crime or death. Those that remained unchanged generally had better growth, understanding and control over their powers. Of course there were already individuals that were already dangerous or spiteful that remained unchanged, making them some of the most dangerous enemies of the world governments due to their hostility as well as immense power.
She didn't dare tell her mother or father, but it never quit her from practicing what she could precisely do. At first, she thought she could just manipulate the wind or had some form of strange telekinesis, but her ability was consistently revealed to be so much more. She never sincerely understood the name until she was older, but she possessed the complete manipulation of Vectors, letting her control the magnitude, momentum and trajectory of anything that was within a meter wide distance of herself. Of course there were heavier limitations to her power at first, but they slowly became less and less noticeable to her as she became stronger and more effective.
By the time she was sixteen years, she had reached confidence in her abilities that inspired her to fight off the various different Psychics that had started appearing among the populace and drawn to her own presence as well the other hidden Psychics within the city. She became known as the The Wall of The West for her notorious powers and location in the Western coast of the U.S. She became a heroine for the people she had come to love...well, not all of them.
Her parents viewed every single human that were starting to be birthed with gifts as monsters, just the same as those she dealt with. She pleaded with them to understand she wasn't like them, only for them to rescind all care for her like she was not worth anything to them, even her mother that had loved her so warmly. They quickly moved states, making certain she wouldn't know where they were headed. She had been broken and while she continued to protect the town, she was destroyed with the destruction of her family. Even to this day, she feels like she was a failure of a daughter and should have never been born, but she wouldn't dare let anyone else know she thought this. She was permitted to keep her parent's former home for free out of compensation for her help with rogue Psychics.
𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
She is naive, shy, manipulative, and relies heavily on her abilities. She was once a much more timid girl, though the discovery of her abilities have made her cocky and sometimes even outright playful with her enemies or others she doesn't take a liking to. Despite her general timidity and carefree attitude, her carelessness wasn't born out of complete nothingness as her mathematical computing and memory are superhuman in levels, to say nothing of her actual abilities. Aside from her gifted memory and computing, she is only around or slightly above average intelligence overall.
Her hair is an orange, almost autumn like color. Aside from her lengthy hairstyle, she keeps swept bangs across her brow and two side-locks that just touch the length of her shoulder. Her eyes are a shade of red with shades of orange like she has the sunset within them. She stands at 5'3 (1.6 M) with a small figure. She has been described as very beautiful and younger than she appears despite only being twenty.
Orianna can change the magnitude, momentum and the directional properties of an object to achieve a desired result, manipulating vectors around her. She can only utilize the vectors she's within a meter's distance of her body. Her ability is very scientific in understanding and requires much mental training and strain of her mental effort.
Vectors are properties existing as either one of two types: position (location) and momentum (velocity). Position is distance (or coordinate) and direction in relation to something (orientation); momentum is speed and direction of motion (trajectory). The manipulation of momentum results in changes in motion; the control of position allows for alteration of location. Even if the magnitude of a vector was zero, it would still count as one due to it also having a direction. All forms of matter can be described as either having or being vectors letting her having a vast amount of material to work with.
All forms of matter can be described as either having or being vectors, and by exploiting this fact, she can theoretically create a "a perfect reflection" that prevents any fashion of harmful vectors from bypassing her meter diameter boundary (doing so by reversing the direction of kinetic vectors or displacing position vectors as to send the associated object to alternate regions in space). She's often seen doing this actively, but it is unknown if she can passively reflect objects. There's a massive but set power limit on how much she can reflect before it can bypass her protective field.
She can only manipulate the vectors within a meter around her body. To give a better understanding of her abilities, here are some small examples. She can redirect kinetic vectors to deflect a physical attack. On the flip-side of that coin, she can increase kinetic vectors to turn a pebble she might flick into an armor piercing bullet. She can fly to an extent and move by altering the gravitational and/or wind vectors around her. By refracting light vectors, she can shield herself to become invisible to the naked eye or create a blinding light. There would be far too many applications to detail, but her ability gives her more than enough for her creativity.
Her great weaknesses lie in her ability and inside of her own psyche. Calculating her various different applications of her ability requires a great deal of mental effort if she's using her power past her comfort zone of simple reflection. Her power can be slowed down or even disrupted given she's startled enough. Due to a past traumatic experience at sea, she cannot use her abilities near large bodies of water or in a relatively large water-surrounded space. Disruptive anxiety associated with such prevents any consistent calculations to be formed. This is especially true when she's emotionally provoked due to her unstable mentality from her shattered heart.
