Alina exists within a Fantasy Earth in which the world shares many medieval and ancient world characteristics. While the world is exceptionally diverse and massive, she lives on a particular island that is the native homeland to her people. While they don't appear any physically different from normal humans, their unique spiritual and nature connections separated them from the rest of humanity. They receive the tattoos of their family's bloodline symbol once they've reached sixteen years of age, signifying they are old enough to be called an adult.
When Alina was brought into the world, she was exceptionally talented in agility from even an extremely youthful age due to her ancestry. She was trained by her father constantly on keen mobility and graceful movements along with how to perform them while under extreme duress. Outside of her training which often only took up most of her morning, she spent the afternoon with her mother and helped her around the home. She cherished the time she had with them, especially when they would venture out to the markets and Alina could have fun playing around in the market stalls and seeing the sights. During her evenings, she would spend supper with both of her parents. She often found it amusing as they liked to teasingly bicker back and forth about their days.
Her training was essentially completed by her tenth birthday but her father was insistent on continuing so she would not lose the memory and skillset she had obtained. If it was possible, she was going to become an heiress more than worthy of her father's lineage and pushed past the limitations set for the standard sorceress. Years passed and her father consistently drilled the training perhaps ten times over through her head and body, becoming familiar with the wild and combat like it was no harder than being civilized or the social butterfly she was. It wasn't too grueling as it expanded over a decade, letting her slowly develop into a mistress of mobility, stealth and reflexes.
Once she had obtained her markings at the age of sixteen, she had already surpassed her father in their respective skillset. She was the pride of their family and had demonstrated that she was a warrioress that wasn't to be reckoned with despite her soft exterior. She often took place in Colosseum battles to earn money for her family, only ever losing a few matches over her three year career as a combatant. She helped keep her family wealthy and things seemed to be going exceptional. It wasn't until a few months later that a dark shadow would enshroud her little island and its inhabitants.
A monstrous mage that lived within a massive castle had cast a spell on her land, the scent of foreign magic filling everyone's noses. In search of everlasting life, he harvested the souls of those from the village. Such a bountiful land filled with humans brimming with magic made it the perfect candidate for his dark magic. Those strong enough to resist the enchantment attempted to rescue those that had succumbed but to no avail. It soon became clear there was no stopping this outbreak, forcing her to escape to the outside world to avoid any similar fate if exposed long enough. Her entire family had fallen and she was left destroyed at the thought of their deaths, a broken face upon her as she was sailed to the mainland. But this was not the end.
Alina learned through the remaining masters that they had simply been collected. Their bodies could be revitalized and they could return if whatever magic was done could be undone. The knowledge of where it had originated escaped the survivors so they were left without a destination. She didn't care. She knew there had to be someone or something out there that could show her the way. From what they said, their souls could be safe for another decade but she wished to have them out sooner than later. This was more than enough time for her to search the lands for any information at all so she could personally seek justice for her people. She's slightly afraid that it is also vengeance fueling her and that she might take pleasure in destroying them for what they did. Time will tell how she will confront these circumstances.
Name: Alina Vitalis
Height: 152 cm [5'0]
Weight: 44 kg [97 lbs]
Alina appears as a normal Caucasian woman despite her superhuman abilities and origins. She's a young girl that has just recently turned twenty years old, her attitude often showing her inexperience. She stands a few inches below average height at 152 cm [5'0] and possesses a slender frame giving a deceptive impression of weakness. She's not as physically strong as most supernatural warriors or honed battle-mages, but she makes up for it with her supernatural agility, reflexes and acrobatics. She wears a minimal amount of clothing so it does not interfere with her graceful movements. She has short auburn hair that look over her orange-fire colored eyes, contrasting her pale complexion.
Her neck, ankles and left wrist are wrapped around with two red parallel tattoos. Across the left side of her face she has a red tattoo that almost looks like two thin scythes with thorns upon their handles. Her most predominant tattoo is that of her bloodline which had been marked across her left leg, signaling that she was an adult of her family's line. Her clothing is tailored specifically for her family, representing their connection to the arcane. It is quite expensive outside of her lands due to the rare gems that are decorated across her attire, but they are quite common in her homeland.
Alina is one of the most featherbrained individuals you might ever find when it comes to culture outside of her own. This generally leads to her being easily amused by the marvels of the world outside. She's very energetic and friendly with those that she meets. On the flip side of the coin, she can become an absolute demoness if the circumstances have evoked such negativity from her. If she understands properly that she is too weak for the current situation, she will become frightened and choose to escape. She would even beg or pray for her life if that was what she was reduced to. She wouldn't go down without a fight but she's not above swallowing her pride to see another day.
โ Alina's Mental Strengths/Powers
Alina is not exactly the most intelligent person on the planet. She's mature and emotionally intelligent, but very ignorant when it comes to most forms of mathematical, scientific or modern technological concepts. She is even completely illiterate as that was not a required skill for her daily life. Regardless, due to her refined natural instincts, she has exceptional mental capabilities awoken by blood.
She can witness movements and actions in a much more efficient manner than a normal human. Her reaction time has been quickened that an arrow looks like it is moving at a remarkably slow speed. She has never witnessed gunfire up close, but it would be moving far too fast for her to physically react to unless it came from a certain distance away. Her hearing and other senses are just as advanced so she can perform a multitude of tasks far greater than that of even the most perceptive animals.
โ Alina's Physical Strengths/Powers
Alina's skills as a physical opponent can prove quite quickly that she is not something to be reckoned with. Her physical strength isn't something to be laughed at, but it isn't nearly as impressive as other trained warriors. Her abilities truly shine when it comes to her reflexes and dexterity.
Alina is not naturally gifted in any strength enhancing magic and has no proper training in such. Her magical bloodline grants her inherent strength that everyone of her land attains at birth. Her strength is weak among her people but she would be considered superhuman by normal human standards. Within her world, most trained warriors or other mages can easily keep up with her strength, making it out-classed on the average scale.
She can instantly accelerate her body to speeds that mimic short-range teleportation to untrained eyes. She can perform these swift movements by combining her speed with her strength to launch herself with greater velocity. These quick dashes let her stay constantly mobile and provide her with a generally favorable advantage in speed against her opponent. Her constant running speed is much slower, only about 80 KM/H [50 MPH] while on foot.
Superhuman Dexterity and Acrobatics
She can leap over 40-45 meters [130-150 feet] vertically into the air and is able to keep almost perfect balance despite whatever surface she might land on. This has come in second nature for her after living within massive tree-tops of her homeland since birth. She can scale 90 degree surfaces like walls simply by jumping and running without having to traditionally climb. She can gracefully land from heights of over 60 meters as long as she can manage to land upon her feet.
Her supernatural reflexes combined with her enhanced perception lets her evade fired arrows like they were child's play. There is a limit to how fast she can properly respond to what she senses, making attacks from outside of her vision easier to connect against her. Gunfire is very difficult for her to dodge since her eyes aren't swift enough to properly see something so small moving faster than sound.
She's known for her exceptional reaction time, however she suffers in physical strength. She is much stronger than a normal human, but mages and trained warriors can easily match and even dwarf her power. This is one of the reasons she must rely on speed.
She can become very frightened once put under pressure or backed into a corner, pushing her to make rash decisions as she cannot plan well under stress.
She is very unknowledgable which can land her in many different inconvenient scenarios. Aside from being unfamiliar with most modern or even past concepts from the outside world, she is not even skilled in writing or reading her own language, much less others. Mathematics and Science is also mostly lost upon her.
