History
Hibiya and Icchan Mihara creator of the Angelic Layer Project created the first known Persocom recorded in history. Known as Chobits. Freya being the first model ever created in the line. It was his own way of giving a child to his wife who could never conceive due to health concerns. However things weren't always pleasant as over time, Freya grew increasingly sad. Wishing to appease Freya's sorrow, Hibiya requested her husband to make a companion for her, thus a Elda the younger sister was born. Along side her, Freya was most joyous.
Yet time and again Freya found herself falling back into the depths of her sadness to the point that she may no longer function properly. One night as she lay barely able to focus her sensory machinations she made a decision to shut down indefinitely. However Elda appeared and requested that she not give up on the long memories of happiness they shared as a family. This gave Freya courage to confess her feeling for her creator, Ichiro. Already aware that he was happily married to Hibiya, Freya knew he could never return her feelings, hence why she silently grieved. Desiring to prolong her existence, Elda connected herself to Freya's CPU and downloaded all of her data--overriding her own mark-up and memory with the re-write. Upon discovering them, Hibiya re-set Elda's programming and recorded her data into a disc, setting her daughter out and farther away in order to prevent a repeat of what had occurred.

After numerous attempts to find Elda a home, Hibiya was beginning to feel at a loss. Each and every time someone picked up Elda, they would discard her in the rubbage as she served no valid use as a Personal Computer. Until one night, Hideki Motosuwa discovered the abandoned persocom. He picked her up and took her to his apartment. Then tried to figure out how to activate her. A typical persocom (abbreviated from "personal computer") has its power switch in or behind its ears, but Chi's is located in a very unorthodox place: her crotch. Realizing this, Hideki overcame his moral objections and managed to activate her. She has difficulty communicating with him at first; the only word that she is able to say being "chi", but slowly she learned how to speak. She initially feared that Hideki would discard her because of this, but he reassured her that he would never throw her away. When Hideki decided to give her a name, he remembered the only word that she can say and decided to call her "Chi".
Chi remembered nothing of her past life and was unable to perform simple tasks, so Hideki took it upon himself to teach her and care for her. Mimicking Hideki and several other outside round her. She made many humorous mistakes in the process, including her imitation of a pornographic pose from one of Hideki's magazines, and calling everyone and everything "Hideki" (Hideki had attempted to teach her his name by telling her his name as he pointed at himself, but she believed that he meant that "Hideki" was what one said when one pointed). At current, Chi lives with Hideki,and the smaller laptop units, Kotoko and Sumomo.

Tsubasa Verse
Created by Fai D. Flourite, while he was still in Celes, Chii had been given the image of Fai's late mother. In an effort to comfort his dead brother's corpse. In the beginning of the series, Fai is shown with her in Celes sealing Ashura. He then transforms Chii into a barrier, guarding the pool where Ashura-ou and his late brother were kept. Fai could be in contact with her if Ashura wakes up. It was then revealed that Fai created Chii from one of Sakura's feathers that he had gotten hold of in the past. She eventually disintegrates after the feather is removed and given back to Sakura. Being created by Fai, Chii stayed with him at all times in Celes, even when Ashura went berserk. After he was sealed, Fai asked Chii to look after Ashura as she did with his brother's body, until the day Ashura awoke.
During the Infinity Arc, in which she communicated the awakening of the king to Fai several moments before. When Syaoran and the group won the Human Chess Tournament, in the world of Infinity, they won an automata robot who looked like her (Fai confused them, though due to her clothing, she resembled more like Freya from Chobits, rather than Chii). Due to the interference created by the telepathic messages emitted by Chii and the interdimensional portal created by the automata, Sakura was split in two, her soul was drawn into the Dream World while her soulless body was taken to Celes.

"Well, she isn't kidding, you do" He chuckles, shaking his head not being able to deny her charm and her ability to look well in anything. "How did you meet this Hibiya lady? Fiend of yours?" He asked a bit curiously.
"Whose that? That name does ring a bell..." He thinks on the name and blinks while trying to ponder. It was that woman he met a while ago when He traveled to another dimension! Then again...people are different in every world so this one has to be different. "She likes making clothes huh?...well I gotta say, you do look pretty cute in that." He looked over at her pokes the little fuzz at the end of the hat. Grinning he chuckles and nods. "Yeah I do, always have,always will." He grins and looks down at her his crimson hues glancing into hers.
"Yeah, something like that, I wouldn't say mine, since I'm only borrowing it for the time being." Heading inside with her, he shuts the door and focuses on her red and white attire with her hat. "This is different than your usual frilly stuff" he mentions to her, while leaning against a wall his arms crossed over his chest. Unaware of the invisible guardian within her, which was her sister. He was glad she made it to him in one piece and out of harms way, something surely had to be aiding her, or she had the best luck in the world.
