The day my father Odin banished me from Asgard, I was bitten by a vampire and had radioactive waste dumped into my eyes. To make matters worse, my mutant ability to control weather activated just as I was hit by a blast of gamma radiation. Nah, actually, I got this way by volunteering for the Weapon X program. They promised to cure my cancer. And they cured it all right, by giving me an outrageous healing factor. Then they labeled me psychotic and tossed me into a prison lab. So I escaped and became what some people might call a 'mercenary'. I prefer the title 'cleaner of the gene pool'.
Who I'd like to meet: "Shhh. My common sense is tingling"
Name: Wade Wilson
Codename: Deadpool
Alignment: The Alliance, X-Force, Thunderbolts
Status: Open
Faceclaim: Ryan Reynolds
Wade Wilson volunteered for the Weapon X program as a potential cure for the terminal cancer ravaging his body. While the artificial introduction of Wolverines healing factor saved his life, it also preserved his cancer. The malignant cells are in constant war for control of the rest of his body, with never side ever able to be defeated. This constant struggle has driven Deadpool insane.
Thee clinical diagnosis of Deadpools condidition is dissociative identity disorder. The way Deadpool describes it, he has three internal monologues going inside his brain at all times: His own, one that constantly contradicts him, and a third he simply calls The Writer.
On the other hand, Deadpool does lie a lot, but besides his possible background, Wade has worked alongside, The X-Men, The X-Force, and most recently the Thunderbolts. If he gets paid or if he gets chimichangas then Deadpool will do anything with a, BANG BANG BANG BANG!.
