From deep within a mountain side, a magically hidden fortress houses a mysterious Empire. And with it, a family of warriors and their loyal companions. From Nords to Kahjiit this Consortium is lead by a singular Nordic Warlord. A man who's personality ranged from fierce and combative, to actually calm and understanding~ pending on its circumstance.
Like most of his family, Maroth shared a trait as a Werewolf. A gift blessed by Hercine, while seen as a curse to many. And like most of his kin, Maroth would often hunt and raid encampments, while waging private wars with rivaling factions such as the crusading Stendar's Vigilants, or the Silver Hand, thus gaining a feared reputation among locals whom would hear stories of this beast roaming the night.
Maroth was born sometime within the Fourth Era and spent most of his life within Skyrim until the Great War, where he and his companions would begin a campaign of conquest while the Empire and the Thalmor were locked in their brutal conflict. But Maroth did not only wish for land or wealth. He wished to prove his prowess in battle, both as a fighter and a commander, while seizing the underground for a profitable expansion. And while his own Empire lasted for a few years, his efforts were ultimately obliterated by a renewed Dominion advance. Seeing no other option, Maroth would return to Skyrim, while his kin were separated. He was not finished however. The Aldmeri Dominion and Thalmor were indeed a clear and present danger to the world, and to his ambitions.
Common enemies were a main consideration for Maroth as he explored options in helping the Empire stage successful uprisings with small holdouts after the signing of the White-Gold Concordat. A treaty which greatly diminished the Empire, but also placed a respite on the fighting. Still, he aimed for armed rebellions in areas where the Thalmor were weak~ as he saw this would in turn gain smaller advantages for his people in the long run. But a new conflict was ont he rise. A Civil War within Skyrim and a return of an ancient threat which dwarfed the Thalmor's own considerably.
