Shattering, A phenomenon that occurred when Starfall Bright approached the Pearl of a Moon Goddess. The Pearl had been a gift to humanity just as the stars of his world had been but generations later those stories were myths and the worship and praise humans once gave her were gone. Only small pockets of the world even remembered her name. Yet when the chance came for her to act and help a life she did so only for the one she saved to return to rob her last treasure. The young explorer reached for the ancient lost prize and for a moment, he had everything he needed for a new life. The pearl began to shine and Star shielded his eyes, dropping the pearl as it shattered into shards. The shards glowed and began to cut and swirl around the boy like he was the eye of a twister. They stopped only to strike together nd causing him to Shatter. The boy woke... back home. Or maybe now on the deck of a pirate ship, or with a strange new ability, with a new weapon in his hand. All different yet the same. The only thing all the versions could remember was their name and that they needed to find... it. The shard...
Starfall is kind but often absent-minded and can come off as strange to others with his excitement being a bit too much for some. He is jokey and doesn't take things seriously until it can't be avoided. He often downplays any achievements he had earned as for him it's all about the next one. He knows what he is good at and is very aware of his flaws and the places where he can and should improve. He is always eager to learn something new and can come off as annoying due to his badgering. Star's drive comes from more than just his natural curiosity though as he seems to be looking for something, a real miracle. A reason to be proud of himself.
