A survivor. Warrior. Scavenger. Jaylah was a lone survivor on Altamid. Originally, she was born to a loving family, and as her markings were revealed upon her birth, it was decided that she would be named Jaylah or Fierce Little Warrior.
And in years to come, she would live up to that name. She was brash, head strong, and incredibly tough having learned martial arts and ranged combat. But one day her ship had crashed duebto an attack by a mysterious assailant named Krall. Her family and crew were rounded up and imprisoned. Slowly few of her members would vanish until they realized those who did were used in expirements or executed.
One night, her family planned an escape. But were xaptured during theur attenpt. Jaylah's father stayed behind to fend off their attackers, giving a young Jaylah time to escape. While her family did not survive, Jaylah continued on until she foubd the wreck of a centry old shio named the USS Franklin. She used that direlect as a home, slowly repaired it, and built a cloaking field to conceal both the ship and herself. In months to come, she honed her combat skills, fended off scavengers, and learned about the illfated crew of the Franklin-even learning their language. English.
some time later, Jaylah watched as a new ship crashed onto Altmid's surface thabka to Krall- her attackers from before. She investigsted and happened to come across a human engineer callijg himself Scotty. While she was aprwhwnsive at first she came to an agreement to help him get his crew in turn for fixing her "house" the Frabklin. To Scotty's surprise he would recognize the ship and gladly help restore her to space-worthy status. But not before saving his crew.
In the end, Jaylah joined the adventure, once more earning her freedom among the stars; but this time as a Starfleet cadet~ Recognition for her bravery above and beyond.
