Short tempered, and easily angered when pushed around, Sergeant Kuribayashi Shino is nothing short of a tough person when need be. She is described as reckless, and often is the first one whom would charge heard first into battle. That said, she prefers melee combat, and would often get into scuffles that would end up irreparably damaging her equipment.
Even though she comes off as a loose cannon, Kuribayashi is actually seriously loyal to her squadmates within the Japanese Defense Forces. Her fierce warrior like attitude means she will gladly stick her neck out for any that need it. And with that she has often gained favor with most of her female counterparts.
When Ginza suffered a surprise attack, Segeant Shino was deployed with a special task force in order to stop an invasion, and investigate a mysterious new realm. One where magic, dragons, and kingdoms reign. Designated the "Special Region." This place would see several massacres inflicted upon by Japanese forces repelling the more archaic Empire until a ceasefire was finally offered.
From fighting dragons to befriending elves, Sergeant Shino's seen it all within the special region. Her quick reaction to combat and tough attitude, has caught the eye of the more warrior like clans, including a tribe of rabbit like people. That said, there were some in the Empire that refused to accept Japan's peaceful offer, and would outright declare war on the nation.
People like that included one prince whom was quickly put in his place by the sergeant. Though he was several times her size, Kuribayashi was able to knock him on his back to deliver a serious beating.
