Above average balance, above average dexterity with a specialty in balance and stealth, above average hearing, above average sense of smell. Sensitivity to light. Prone to erratic moods and fits of general disinterest.
Unlisted Quirk: Cryptid- Discovered with the aid of a close associate skilled in the noticing of imbalances in electromagnetism native to the human body, by attempting stealth Kohaku subconsciously emits a disrupting aura, functionally a field of 'the human mind can not comprehend', that upon visual contact obfuscates him from the viewer's perception by disrupting the signals in the brain that register his presence. This works at any range and even through recordings or video feeds, though is purely visual. He can still be tracked by scent, sound, or other such means.
History: Born into an average Japanese family and beset with aspirations of heroism from a young age, like so many before him. Though his obvious quirk did not lend itself to excelling, the boy worked hard, studying the ins and outs of his future career and tinkering with various devices to help cover weaknesses. His parents wholeheartedly supported his dreams, understanding the passions with which he pursued them. These passions held strong, and in time, Kohaku found his applications accepted, and was welcomed within the hallowed halls of U.A.... though not in the way he desired.
Lacking the physical prowess or flashy quirks of others, the placement exams for the hero course fell far outside the realm of his abilities. Disheartened, he was accepted into his backup study of support technical advancement, a field by all standards he excelled in. His parents, of course, were thrilled, and though he celebrated his acceptance with them, his heart was not fully in it.
So close. He had come so close, he had been accepted into U.A. even... But his dream was so far away. Dangled in front of him every day by those born better, stronger, faster, flashier. It was, undeniably, a start of darkness in the boy, and the sprouting of a deep seeded bitterness. He pulled away, doing just enough work to get by, sleeping in his classes, speaking only when needed to with those in his field of study. To most, he likely seemed to have given up.
This seed of bitterness, however, grew into something deeper than sorrow or rage. It bred defiance. He was meant to be a hero. He always had been. And always would be. No test or imbalance of birthright was going to stop him from helping others. Taking to sneaking out at night, something his unnoticed quirk 'Cryptid' aided greatly in, he now operates under the vigilante name Howler, using what gadgets he can scrape together out of failed class projects to aid people and stand against villainy in any way he can. Though he knows there is little noble in what he does in the eyes of the law, this is the path he sees open for him. At least until he can prove he deserves to be on the hero course properly.
