About me: Noble Shield grew up without a family on the streets of Cloudsdale. But not the beautiful bright and colorful Cloudsdale most ponies know of. There is an old run down district beneath the cloud made streets where the poor and villanous go to hide out. This is Where Noble grew up. For his entire foalhood he did nothing but fight older thugs, scavenge food and desperatley try to protect four other younger foals who had been left to die down in the lower districts. Most ponies would try to forget these memories, but not him. The happy smiles he got from the ones he helped back then always made his heart feel just as good.
However once he turned thirteen the young foals he had grown to love as his own siblngs were found by loving families who happened to find them, leaving Noble all alone down in the dark. He wasnt distraught however and was willing to fight to the last down there while trying to help make others lives easier. And that day did come for after two years of stopping robberies, helping ponies fix up there homes, and beating down some of the tougher gangs, the lower districts of the cloud city actually became an okay place to live.
Noble is in his early twenties now and decided to mov on to other, greener pastures. Hen ow travels Equestria, his body well tones from his rough lifestyle. He does a wide variety of jobs from simple home services, to helping the military battle away threats. Long as hes helping the fine ponies of Equestria, hes content.
That was where I was at for years too. Once I got with the crowd I was with I came within range of a long time roleplay. I share your history of most things going fizzle.
Technically a grimdark AU that's stopped being crazy with the over the top world ending extravagances and other sordid things.
Right now things are peaceful in a version of Equestria that is rebuilding from ruination. While there's likewise a buildup of 'something' coming to challenge those who would keep the world from sliding back into endless hell.
I'm on the event horizon of that. For the time being my character is setting roots in a certain location with her significant other.
Yeah. I feel that. My usual crowd disappears a lot more and more these days. Used to be I had to work hard to keep up. Now? Of late I've been kept waiting on all fronts for weeks if not months on end in many cases. It's weird how that can hurt y'know? So I get what you mean.
