Fiona Elisi Linette was born over a thousand years ago, on Planet Zi. Much of her history has been lost to memory, after she was revived by Van Flyheight sometime before the resparked war between the Guylos Empire and the Helic Republic.
From her emergence from stasis, Fiona had no memory of her name, what she was, where she was, or anything else except the basics. Sleeping, eating, human language, etc. The only word she uttered out that had some key to her past was "Fiona" And from that day on, Van began to call her by that name.
All Van ever knew was that Fiona was a generally kind, sweet individual whom couldn't be left alone in the desert ruin where he found both her and an odd silver zoid- the likes of which he had never seen. He made no hesitation and decided to wrap the young woman in a blanket and transport her to his nearby village. Once there she was given a proper outfit thanks to Van's sister and was allowed to freely stay in the village. Hours later, that peaceful stay would make a turn for the worse as bandits soon attacked their home village in the search for that silver zoid. Fiona being attached to Van at this point decided to travel with him in order to stop the bandit attack, free his now captured sister and the silver zoid, and save the village.
During the battle, Van learned that Fiona had more to her story than any normal human, as she was able to telepathically communicate to this strange silver zoid through telepathy after it being knocked out cold by an electroshock whip. The battle concluded with the bandits fleeing the battlefield, allowing Van, Fiona, and the silver zoid now named Zeke to travel in search of adventure.
Weeks later, after being trapped in a desert sandstorm and getting holed up in a set of ruins, Fiona was chased deeper inside by an old Zoid protecting the area. Something called to her. She couldn't quite understand what was happening, only that her own instincts now drove her deeper into the base. It was as if she was in a trance. There, in a small room, she uncovered a hidden trap door, long unnoticed by anyone whom previously occupied the base. Once inside, she found an older set of ruins, with stone pillars writing in a language long lost to anyone. She stared deeply at them, and for some reason understood words, however foggy. Then, in a sudden flash a few words sparked into her memory. "Zoid Eve" This was crucial to her, but she could not say why. Van found her in a state where she was gripping her head, nearly fainting onto the ground. He picked her up, and brought her to the barracks to recovor. When she told him, Van instantly agreed to find out about Zoid Eve.
Their travels took them far into the Republic's territory, where a war was brewing between them and the Guylos Empire. From fighting and helping prevent the flames of war from spreading, to landing in military jail cells, Fiona began to see the decaying state of the world. All she wanted to do was to save as many lives as possible, and find out about her past. Eventually, they traveled to the capitol, where rumors were held about ancient secrets within a museum. not much else happened in terms of her past, so their search went deeper into ancient ruins.
The group ended up at the Gurill Plateau, where a more sinister mystery was soon uncovered. The Empire, under influence of Minister Gunther Prozen had begun excavating ancient ruins, belonging to an extinct race of humanoid aliens, called the Zoidians. To protect their secret, Zoids were deployed to ward off anyone from venturing inside. The "Sleeper" Zoids were defeated thanks to Van, and the group was allowed to continue their investigations. In an odd twist of fate, all of Fiona's answers were literally scooped and hauled away before they even arrived. The only piece left was a fragment of a word. Fiona studied it for a second, and the word Death Saurer flashed into her memory. Her response was bone chilling fear. Something evil once plagued these lands, and she had no memory of what it fully was.
As their adventures continued, a New Zoid was on the prowl piloted by an ace Zoid pilot, Raven. Interestingly, with Fiona' slow memory returning, she could feel the malevolent force, and in a bone chilling trance, she warned the crew of this inevitable encounter, only to faint. Minutes later, her group of friends were attacked by a terrifying new Zoid, where they barely escaped with their lives. The Zoid, was believed to have been a resurrected Death Saurer. Or as Fiona would claim, "An ancient evil and destructive force that should have never been born into this world."
It was warned that Van should run in this Zoid's presence. However he refused, his Zoid was destroyed as a consequence. Once more, Fiona's mysterious power would come into play as something called her to the Shield Liger's destroyed corpse. She, along with Zeke managed to fuse inside the downned Zoid, while a whirlwind of energy ensnared them all. Nearly two days later, Van would return with a new Zoid thanks to Fiona and Zeke's mysterious power.
But, this resurrection wasn't the only unique thing to happen to Fiona. When she fused with Zeke, a part of her returned. A fragmented memory. She was able to recall a beautiful green world, that was once her home- which was now a barren wasteland. A small test revealed that she was not human at all, but rather a survivor of the race that was wiped out a thousand years ago. A Zoidian. It was revealed that during the Death Saurer's carnagte, she along with potentially others were sealed away in stasis in a last ditch effort to preserve their civilization. However, Fiona's memory did not retirm to 100%. In a previous encounter, Van had to fuse with Zeke, which dispersed much of Fiona's memories. All hope of getting a full recovery in a more quick fashion would have been lost. She did however regain her full name as Elisi Linette, while she kept Fiona as her new first name, and Elisi serving as a sort of middle name in honor of Van.
In the years to follow, Fiona would part ways from Van and their friends in order to help with a major archaeological effort in order to find out more on Ancient Zoidians, and potentially Zoid Eve. However, a new threat was on the rise. Another Ancient Zoidian was causing havoc while scouring the world for ruins and buried secrets. His goal was to resurrect the legendary Death Saurer to finish what it set out to do.
As the war heated, the Death Saurer was eventually brought back, and Fiona was brought fourth to uncover the location of Zoid eve. For her name Fiona was no coincidence. It was a password which was mentally embedded, in order to get into the forgotten metropolis. There, Zoid Eve rested, and once awoken, Zoids would bathe in unprecedented power, however the Death Saurer would also be revived. A harsh battle would soon follow with both the Empire and the Republic sending in everything they had to stop this beast once and for all.
