Raiden wasn't a wolf when he was born, when he was born he was a normal human boy born in Avalon.  However in those times there wasn't much order. There was dark magic and very bad people. Raiden though lived his mother and sister, their father had gone off never returned.  So Raiden was the one to protect his sibling and mother. On the eve of his 7^th birthday a group of males broke into their home destroying it completely and killing their mother with his sister crying Raiden tried his best to fight the men off and save his sister, but failed and was knocked out. The men had taken the kids back with them. There they meant the leader of the group a dark wizard who's soul purpose was to destroy and take over the lands, and destroy the kingdom. But this wizard had to first create a army for himself and with that he would steal children of the near by villages and beat them, starve them and do terrible things with them, till the obeyed him, he went as far as to cast spells on them changing them into something he could control.  Raiden always made sure that his sister and him stayed out of the line of sight so that they could stay human and maybe someday escape. He give his food to his sister and help her finish or even do her work when it was something terrible such as kill an animal steal from other families. He did not want that on his sister's hands.

They were safe from the hard hands of the guards and the wizard. However, when his sister turn 10 the guards began noticing her more and made crude comments, Raiden was about 12 years old and growl at them and stay close by her to protect her. But he couldn't always be there. One night when they were sleeping he heard his sister cry leaving the girls room and down the hall she screamed for her brother and Raiden woke taking off and running to her. He found them in the hall trying to rip her clothes off and touch her, their plan was clear like most of the girls they were going to rape her, use her as  toy. Raiden anger got the better of him and he leaped at them using his hands and teeth to bite and beat at them, trying to stop them from touching her anymore, she cried more trying to stop them when they turn to Raiden and started beating on him. The house became quiet when the Wizard showed and stopping all of them and order the guards to restrain the boy and girl, he had no care that his men did such things to the girls because he thought them only good for that. Raiden punishment was worse than he image, the wizard held him and made him watch what they did to her and then killing her. Making him watch her bleed and die. They didn't allow him to morn yet as the wizard grabbed him by his hair "since you want to act like a mutt then that is what you will become, and you will be my dog and do what I want maybe then you will learn respect because I have worse punishments I can do to you" was the last things he heard before the wizard casted his spell and turn Raiden into a wolf. But not like any other wolf but a large one that even on all fours stood ten feet tall, white and sliver hair and his blood red gold eyes, but it wasn't the only form he could take, he had a half form as well, so he could have all the powers of the wolf and the size of a man.

He was used for so many things, hunting and killing, kidnapping Raiden found himself in a world of hell and what was worse was he was to weak to care and stop it, he lost his family lost his sister, he failed to keep her safe, and now the pain he caused to men women and children, unicorns and dragons and other animals. It was the pain he got and gave that was the only thing that kept him feeling anything any other time he was numb to the world. When he turn 16 the kingdom had already started to repair itself, it had a respectable King and Queen on the throne, they promise the people that the dark times were over and they would end the suffering. Raiden with a few other men were sent to storm and attack the palace, while the wizard snuck in behind and attacked the royal family. This mission was a fail for the King and Prince of this palace was much stronger then they had thought. The wizard and few of the men had escaped. However, Raiden and a few others were taken. Raiden had hope this would be the end of his hell of a life that the king would order for his death and he could rejoin his family. But that was not the case The King (Emmit) question each one of the men taken some defended the wizard and were sentencing to die, some confessed that they were stolen as children and forced into this life and begged for forgiveness and received it, after they were cleared medically of course. Emmit though took to Raiden, Raiden had not asked for forgiveness but asked for death. Raiden did not tell his story to Emmit but the king did not stop till he did. Instead Emmit called his mother in to speak with Raiden. His mother Bree Kagan came and met raiden, to raiden she was much like his own which hurt and scared him, but soon he was able to open him up find his story.

Bree went to her now ex husband Prime and to her children and told them she was adopting the boy giving him a second chance even if it was not something raiden or the children asked, Bree went to her older sons Yosuke and Emmit and begged them to help her with Raiden and look after him. They agreed. Raiden stay loyal to Bree for saving his life he grew to care for his new siblings even more all his sisters but he never forgot the pain of his sister or mother. And that nightmare was close to soon returning. The wizard found out what became of him and began the attacks again, killing his new mother. Emmit knew then this wizard would stop at nothing knowing that raiden was important to the wizard, Emmit took Raiden with him and help train him so that together they could  protect the family and kingdom.
