Guidelines~

“Hello! Welcome to Eufaula! It’s really nice to meet you, we don’t get visitors here very often.”

Want to read up on some guidelines? Interested in a story, but don’t know where your character might fit in? You're in the right place. Listed below are the basic guidelines, as well as some ideas to jog inspiration if needed. 

Guidelines and Regulations
 

• Big on world building and deep character development. The default setting is something like Oklahoma / Arkansas range, deep in the mid-western country of the US -- but of course other settings are welcomed too. 

• Because of the setting and character backstory, themes of religion may come up in the story, namely Christianity. Please know that nothing typed out is meant to take sides on any part of religion and beliefs are always respected. I personally think it makes an interesting topic to explore in roleplay, thus why it's included. But if this idea makes you uncomfortable, please make sure to say so and adjustments can be made accordingly.

• Romance is enjoyed and welcomed, but in no way required. Contrary to popular belief, the concept is not necessary to build a good story and many deep relationships can be built without doing the Devil’s Tango.

• On the other hand, please don’t be shy and pursue romance if you would like. Remi is closeted and shy as all hell, rarely the first to initiate on anything (because trauma). But guys, gals, and everything in-between are appreciated in their pursuits~

• Remi never curses and is too embarrassed to try, thinking a slip of even and "oh my god" will have him burning in hell. 

• Most stories tend to have a slice of life style center, but other themes such as supernatural, mystery, suspense, thriller and mafia types are always open for discussion.

• Your character has family that just recently moved into town and is coming to visit.

• Your character is traveling or running from something, but accidentally get sidetracked off-route and end up in the small town of Eufaula. Maybe it’s a safe place for cover, or the car / train they were on is stuck and unable to leave right away.

• Remi must transfer schools from the small town to the big city because of circumstances outside of their control, pegging him as the awkward country-boy in a city environment.

• Your character, strong and powerful as they are, are brought to Eufaula on sketchy business. Maybe mafia related, Eufaula has lots of open spaces that could provide cover in the dark of night if disguised well. There is a resident in town named Archie who tends to get himself involved in questionable things such as drugs, gambling, and the sort. Perhaps a deal gone wrong lands them in the slammer, where they meet Remi who volunteers there.

• Your character needs a change of scenery and is trying to shed off an old life, taking up residence in the house nearest to the Blessing household. Small town Eufaula is curious but provides a good cover since their documentation is more lax than others.

• Through means unknown to either character, you character wakes up in a field of the Blessing farm with no knowledge of how they got there. Remi is the first to find them and tries to help as best as he can.

• An apocalypse has struck the rest of the world (zombies, war, etc) but Eufaula is one of the few towns that remains up and running so far. They have civilization and freedom – but not for long.
