Kind, sweet, caring. Nurse Joy is perhaps one of the most renowned medics in the field to date. No matter where you look, in every town and city there is bound to have at least a few of these sweetheart medics running a Pokecenter or two.
This particular Nurse Joy is descended from Johto, sister to the Viridian City Nurse Joy. She grew up in Ecruteak City, and like most of her family, decided to keep the family tradition going. At the age of 19, Nurse Joy took up medical school in Goldenrod where she earned her doctorate in Pokemon Medicine.
As years passed, Nurse Joy returned to her home town in Ecruteak City to help her family run the Pokemon Center there. And in a few years, she saved up enough money to convery a large double cabin bus into a mobile Pokemon Center, or Mobile Pokecenter for short.
This large, yet environmentally safe vehicle now serves as a mobile hospital and home for the traveling nurse as she travels the world in order to help injured and sick Pokemon alike. The vehicle is outfitted with an expanding canopy when parked, solar panels for power, various Pokemon Medical equipment from salves to full restoration vats, emergency flotation device, kitchen, and a set of crew beds.
This Nurse Joy travels not only the world, but the Multiverse! During her long adventures around the world she as encountered many mysterious events.
From being lost at sea, to traveling the stars. Crossovers are highly welcomed, encouraged and edesired
This Nurse Joy has several Pokemon on her. As typical with her family, she was assigned with a Happiny at an early age. Starting out, her Happiny had issues learning the basic commands her sisters had learned. However, Nurse Joy was determined to train her right. As time would allow, that Happiny would evolve into a Chansey. She followed her Nurse Joy everywhere from doing her job in the center, to going out to eat. They were inseperable. Eventually Nurse Joy's Chansey evolved into a Blissey after a rough patch with Team Rocket during the Radio Tower Takeover event. Because of this, she was abel to keep the Goldenrod Center safe while a Hero saved the day in the tower itself. Aside from her Blissey, Nurse Joy has adopted a young Houndour pup who's pack was stolen by poachers. Naturally Nurse Joy offered the pup to stay with her until the pack was found, but as that promise drew to a close, the pup decided to stay with Nurse Joy as a loyal companion. Lastlu on her list, Nurse Joy has a Steenee. A new addition to her team, whom was a gift from her cousin in Alola while she was on vacation.
Though Nurse Joy has a few Pokemon on her team, she has no real desire to compete in any formal competition. At least not at first.
That said, she has attended a small battle demonstration during a local league match.
She won the first few rounds, only to loose to a stronger trainer aiming to be a league champion.
Nurse Joy may be a humbled medic. She is still no pushover. In battle, should the need arise. This nurse has been known to defend Pokemon Centers or tired trainers from those whom would seek to harm others.
In battle, she is firm and fierce. And uses her medical knowledge to best overthrow her opponents.
