During a bloody civil war on Planet Sadala, a Saiyan named Shallot manages to escape the doomed planet traveling far into the north galaxy. He was heavily injured from his battles on the planet and soon passed out from his injuries. Three days later his ship crashed landed in a frozen wasteland on planet earth. Soon his ship was encased in ice. He was frozen for many centuries. After Raditz was defeated by Goku and Piccolo Shallot space ship was discovered by Piccolo during his training with Gohan in preparation for Vegeta and Nappa's arrival. Piccolo freed Shallot from the spaceship, initially, Piccolo was stunned to discover another Saiyan on Planet Earth. Piccolo fired a ki blast at the ice that encased Shallot's body. Piccolo was shocked that Shallot was still alive in fact, but was still injured badly from injuries he received centuries ago. Piccolo figured that he was no threat in the state was in, leaving him there to freeze to death. However, Piccolo thought that he could be a great use of them to fight the other Saiyans with Goku dead. Piccolo takes Shallot with him and healed his wounds restoring him back to strength somewhat, enough for him to stand and walk. Once he regained consciousness, Shallot stood up on high alert, wanting to know where he was. Piccolo told him that he was on earth, and demanded to know who Shallot was and when he arrived on earth. Shallot told him he only remembers his name, and he was a Saiyan...The rest was a blur although he was actually lying. Piccolo sensed that he was not quite as strong as Raditz, but he had a pretty considerable power level. Not exactly trusting of him, Piccolo let him train with him and Gohan. One night both Shallot and Gohan stared up at the full moon and both transformed into giant Great Apes. This turned into an epic Great Ape battle with Shallot having the upper hand. Piccolo watches in horror and destroys the moon which returns both Shallot and Gohan back to normal. During their time traveling, Gohan would speak of his father returning back. Shallot asked who was Gohan talking about; Piccolo explained to Shallot that Goku was another saiyan that arrived on earth, and has defended the earth from every threat including him. Impressed, Shallot stated he wanted to meet Goku as well as he reminded him of the pure-hearted Saiyans he once knew. A year passed by with Piccolo, Gohan and Shallot had gotten much stronger than before. Once Vegeta and Nappa arrived at their location, Nappa and Vegeta recognized Shallot as a Saiyan, though neither one of them knew who he was. Shallot in return recognized them Saiyans as well, even stating that their evil energy feels familiar referring to the ancient evil Saiyans long ago. joining them on the battlefield were Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu. Nappa planted the saibamen and ordered them to attack. Yamcha managed to take a saibamen and gain the upper hand, and seemingly defeat the saibaman. Yamcha let his guard down, which saibaman attempted to take advantage of and attempted to latch itself on Yamcha, Shallot quickly fired a ki blast at the saibaman, killing it, as well as saving Yamcha from certain death. Shallot proceeded to fight the rest of Saibamen, defeating them very easily. This forces Nappa to step into the fight. They all managed to hold Nappa off for a while, except Chiaotzu was eventually killed during the fight. The remaining left still standing were, Shallot, Piccolo, Gohan while Krillin, Tien and Yamcha were heavily wounded. Nappa fires a powerful ki blast at Gohan attempting to kill him, Piccolo stepped in the way of the blast, and much to his surprise Shallot stepped in front of Piccolo, bracing for impact taking on the blast, leaving him heavily wounded, but alive and standing. Vegeta fired an execution blast at Shallot, hitting him through his chest fatally wounding him. with his dying breathe, Shallot told Piccolo and Gohan, that he was a Saiyan not from this era, but from many years from the past, and that he was from Planet Sadala the home of the planets, which shocks everyone including both Vegeta and Nappa. Goku arrives on the battlefield and rushes over to Shallot, to which Shallot explained to Goku who he was, the best that he could. He said he has heard about Goku's heroic deeds and tells him he reminds him of some old friends of his, and told Goku to defeat Nappa and Vegeta, before slowly passing away. Shallot arrived in front of King Yemma and was granted to go train on King Kai's planet. Shallot traveled on Snakeway like Goku and trained with King Kai, learning the Kaiokan, the spirit bomb as well as creating his own technique which he called Doragon Hakai-Ha ( Dragon Destruction Wave.) A move that was similar to the Kamehameha and Galick Gun. A month later Shallot is wished back to life and brought to Namek. While heading to the battlefield Shallot is stopped by an unknown warrior. A woman by the name of Bonyu was a member of The Ginyu Force. Bonyu was called to the battle on Namek after receiving word from Frieza that the rest of the Ginyus are dead. Shallot and Bonyu engaged in battle with Shallot eventually win after having received a zenkai boost from his death, and his training on King Kai's planet. Rather than kill her Shallot told her to leave this world, and never return. He went on to say that she wasn't the enemy Frieza was. Hearing this shocks Bonyu, not only did he spare her life he was also planning on fighting Frieza. She rebuffs this and tells him he was a fool to fight Frieza and that he could never win to which Shallot replied that what she said may be true, but he refuses to run away from battle and let his comrades die. If he were going to die then he would die fighting by allies. How could one call themselves a warrior if they don't put their life on the line? After saying that Shallot proceeds to leave as Bonyu stood there stunned by his words. His words indeed touched her and she decided to go along with him. Shallot and Bonyu arrive on the battlefield and witness Frieza taking on his final form. Shallot and Piccolo and decide to step into the battle and ask for Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, and Gohan to tell Dende to heal Vegeta who wanted Krillin to mortally wound him. The four reluctantly agreed to do so. Dende heals Piccolo and Shallot, and begrudgingly heals Vegeta. Now receiving a zenkai boosts Shallot and Piccolo fought Frieza long enough for Goku to arrive on the battlefield. Shallot sensed that Goku had gotten much stronger and decided to step back and let Goku have the fight. Shallot watched as Goku fought Frieza and eventually gets pummeled. Vegeta scoffs at Goku insulting him, to which Shallot told Vegeta that he wasn't as strong Goku was and asked him how did he think he would fair against Frieza. This remark angered Vegeta who attempted to fight Shallot, only for Krillin to step in between the two. Upon seeing this Bonyu couldn't but find Shallot interesting as he would have the guts to say that to Vegeta's face despite him being the Saiyan prince. Wanting to help out, Shallot mentioned if he can turn into a great Ape then maybe that help things out. Hearing this Bonyu suggested that Vegeta create an artificial moon in order for Shallot to transform. Vegeta was stunned at first that why she would betray Frieza, to which she replies she has her own reasons. Bonyu explained that Shallot still wouldn't be able to defeat Frieza, but this plan alone would give Goku the chance to finish the spirit bomb with interruptions and could possibly increase their chances of winning with Piccolo and everyone else agrees that this was the best way to go about this. Vegeta begrudgingly fired a power blitz ball into the sky as Shallot looked up and stared at the bright ball, transforming into a great ape, and went on to battle Frieza along with Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, and now even Bonyu. Seeing this, Goku used the opportunity to create a spirit bomb while Great Ape Shallot and Piccolo and the others distracted Frieza long enough for Goku to finish. Once Goku launches the spirit bomb which sends Frieza crashing into the water seemingly defeated, Vegeta negates the power ball and Shallot returns to normal. Everyone except Vegeta congratulates Goku on defeating Frieza to which Bonyu was shock and amused that a Saiyan and these earthlings were actually capable of defeating Frieza. However, their celebration was cut short when Frieza fires a beam that hit Shallot in his left chest missing his vital spots by a few inches. Shallot collapses to the ground severely wounded. Piccolo was next to be struck by the death beam, Frieza then kills Krillin and turns his attention to Bonyu, Yamcha, Tien, Gohan, and Vegeta. This angers Goku enough for him to transform into a Super Saiyan. Shallot along with everyone except Goku and Freiza was transported to earth by the dragon balls of Namek. Once healed by Dende, Shallot witnessed Vegeta battle Gohan, and steps in when Vegeta attempted to kill the young hybrid. Shallot threatened Vegeta that he would not hesitate to kill him where he stands if he kills Gohan. Vegeta scoffs and walks away. Now with Frieza gone and the universe at peace, Shallot decided to stay on earth and become accustomed to its lifestyle. He asked Bonyu where she would go after betraying the Frieza force, Bonyu stated she couldn't return to her home world as they were still under Frieza's control. Shallot suggested why not stay on earth and that she was a capable fighter and that earth could use a fighter like her to protect it. Given it some thought Bonyu agreed to which the two mainly trained together while getting use to earth's lifestyle. Bulma even helped them find a home in Central City near King Furry's castle. There the two got jobs in King Furry's military. By this time the two grew closer to death other and eventually fell in love. They got married and eventually had a son named Leek. About a year later With Goku gone, and Vegeta away he was the strongest on earth now. Shallot trained with Bonyu, Piccolo and Gohan which inspired Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu to train as well. Around this time Shallot was able to transform into a Super Saiyan, by this time everyone else was much stronger now thanks to Shallot's influence. Once they sensed that Frieza was still alive and was heading to earth Shallot, Bonyu and the other z fighters traveled to the location he was heading at. At this time the only one strong enough to take on Frieza and his father was Shallot, just as he was about to transform Future Trunks arrived and defeated Frieza, King Cold and their men.
