The youngest Zoid Pilot in the Digald Resistance, Rei-Mii serves as the group's cook, and faithful Lance Stag Pilot. Hailing from the Kingdom of Kira, Rei followed her uncle into exile after he made the descision to abandon the kingdom rather than fight the overwhelming numbers of Zoids which were invading and killing any opposition. While Kira was fully capable of defense with its large array of Zoids, and a standing army, the newly crowned king refused, having no desire for unnecessary bloodshed.
This decision came after Rei's parents were killed in defense of their kingdom, leaving her with her uncle as her protector and legal guardian. With a heavy heart, both lived in exile, choosing to help small villages and travelers from Digald Raiding parties and keeping a low profile while doing so.
Their motives changed when the two came across a village which had fallen under an attack from a squadron of BioZoids. During the battle, the village's all important generatorl the very lifeblood machine which provides supple amounts of fuel, fertile soil, and purified water was destroyed. Both listened to the pleas of a young liger pilot, whom joined them on a quest to find a bio-mechanic to save his village. Their quest was long, and many friends joined them along the way. An assassin named Kotona, A resistance fighter named Garaga, his friend Ron, and a mysterious swordsman named Seijuurou, along with the village kid, Ruuji. Together their travels would take them to the heart of the Digald Imperial territories, where they would eventually become ensnared in a war against these forces.
As the war engulfed the continent, Rei's true identity was revealed, that not only was she a capable pilot, but she was in fact the true heir to the Kingdom of Kira, its last surviving princess. The real reason why her protector and uncle, Ra Kan chose to live in exile was to protect Kira's future. A descision he didn't take lightly, and carried with him as a burden, much to Rei's constant reassurance.
Rei is often hot-headed and stubborn, while also hiding a more tender, kinder personality. More often than not, her short temper rules to the point where her scrappy attitude becomes more aggressive the more flustered and angry she gets. Despite her size, she has been known to knock even the fully muscular, Garaga onto his back with a single, swift knee kick. And those bold enough to endure her rage should also be afraid of her infamous "maiden slap" A personal attack she saves for the most comical of rages.
