God damn. Insipred by me theories? Tht gives me the feel that it can adapt and evolve over time. I've been pondering that pronged tail aspect and what it could be. That part has me scratching my chin. I'm not sure if I've seen a creature with that tail and those legs destroyed by a force that combined the artificial and the natural.

I am curious what this thing is. Some of it seems like it could be malevolent, but just as much gives hints at benevolence. The word 'rekindle' gives me an idea of what it might be. Given it's focus on the conditions of life on the islands. Curioser and curiouser.
Aight I see what you mean. It just feels the emotion as a general thing, but doesn't sense her specifically. So it IS a higher sentient creature. What remains to be seen is the exact nature of that being. Malign or Benign.

There were some characters that the Sihouette made me think of but I doubt it's either of them or connected to them. I agree sudden is bad writing. Things should be hinted at and foreshadowed.
You mean to say that her dark emotions right now are an active help to the enemy? Like they feed off her despair? I wonder what that means. But I don't think it's what springs to mind. So it'll be interesting to see what comes.

I had looked for images of a "Firebird" kaiju after seeing it described and in fact found one flat out called "Firebird" it even matched quite well to the description you gave. At least in part. Aight tho. I see what you mean. No kaiju because they can't communicate on human terms. Now I'm more intrigued about what the hell this thing is.
I do have an affinity for seeing characters undertake such personal journeys. I must wonder then, what she thinks and how she feels so far. I look forward to seeing her achieve her goal.
I thought it seemed ambiguous on the card. I assume on purpose. No telling what the light she seeks in lore is. You were going to have her take an interest anyway? It did come together pretty well.
