A boy of Miroodo Village, Ruuji lived an unexciting life in terms of piloting a Zoid. In fact, Ruuji was unable to awaken any Zoid he came across. From simple Baratz to more complicated models such as Command Wolves. Each Zoid rejected his attempts to activate and bond. At least, until one fateful day when a new liger type Zoid was found buried beneath the bay of their village. The Zoid, long since buried responded to no one else as they revived and tried to wake it from its long slumber.
Just as this unknonw Liger was brought to the surface, Miroodo Village was attacked by a squadron of unknown Zoids, forcing Ruuji to take shelter in the Liger and with a stroke of luck, he was able to awaken it. He tried to attack those responsible for attacking his otherwise primitive home, but the squadron would soon overpower him and his Zoid would end back up in the sea. And, just as the Zoid seemed to fail, it fully activated, rebounded, and sprang out of the ocean to claim its weapon, a Metal-Z sword which was half buried in the village itself. With that, and the help of mysterious strangers, the attackers were driven off for the night.
Ruuji lived in a time far passed the Modern Era. A cataclysm struck Planet Zi after a brutal, long war. The poles shifted, the mountains soon became the bottom of new oceans, and once vast cities were engulfed in sea and volcanic explosions. Nearly all life was wiped out. But, after several thousand years, life returned to Zi, and humans rebounded to a Feudal Era, with some limited knowledge of their ancestors and the Zoids they tamed.
The attackers soon returned with their commanding officer, and after a fierce battle, Ruuji's home was once more engulfed in flame. But, to make matters worse, his village's lifeblood, the Generator, a sourse of fertile soil, rich valuable reggel fuel, and weather control systems was hit and destroyed in a single blast. To repay his mistake, Ruuji set out with a princess and her uncle in search of someone who could fix this valuable generator.
IN doing so, he would meet friends, make powerful enemies, and see wonders beyond his comprehension, and terrors to freeze his soul. For a war was brewing in the continent and Ruuji would be sucked right into it, form a new resistance movement, and take the fight to the Emperor himself, all the while never loosing sight on his original mission. But he knew if he were to succeed, he would have to stop this Empire from continuing its war.
Ruuji is often naive, and kind hearted. He sees good in nearly everyone, and can come off as gullible. But when his friends and family are in danger, Ruuji will stand against even the most deadliest of foes, and sacrifice himself first in order to save them.
