As a whole, the Zenebas Empire was seen as a brutally efficient war machine. Its ranks were filled with top officers and relentless soldiers that would stop at nothing other than the complete annihilation of their enemies. Yet in all of their evil hearts, not all were as cruel. Enter Anna Tares
Unlike her peers, Anna was actually a more kind spirited individual, whom saw a brighter future for the Zenebas Empire. An empire that prospered under ideals of freedom and security. That said she was just as skilled and brutal in battle as her peers, even if her ideals were different.
While most of Zenebas rallied around their emperor, Anna actually supported her childhood friend and had hopes that he would be the next ruler of Zenebas. That man being the son of none other than Gunter Prozen himself, Wolf Muroa.
As Anna's skill in battle proved her competency in command as well as combat, she was granted the command of a powerful Zoid. The Death Stinger KFD, as well as an accompanying squad. Not only were these Zoids powerful, they were of of Zenebas's most elite units. But their power came at a price. The Death Stinger KDS like most of their species had a tendency to go berserk, which proved to be a catastrophic failure for the Imperial Army. In response, the Empire established a core overload system which served as a literal kill switch for the Zoid. Any hint of berserk activity and the Zoid would be engulfed in a massive internal explosion.
This strategy proved to be effective, however such a tactic would mean an early grave for Anna. During an intense battle, Zenebas was loosing ground rapidly, despite the deployment of the KDS squadron. In response, the Empire ordered the KDS to activate their core overload systems, rather than be taken into Republic hands. This did save the Empire from having powerful Zoids land in their enemy's hands, but they ordered the self destruct while every pilot of each KDS Zoid was still seated in their cockpits. Sadly Anna would meet her end with her squad during this battle, and all hope of a peaceful Empire would probably die with her.
