Cloud Strife is a former member of an elite warrior unit called SOLIDER who abandoned his post and became a mercenary. At first he can come off as quite arrogant and cocky, uninterested in anything beyond his hired task at hand and how much it will pay. However beneath this hardened outer persona is a softer, more caring individual who simply struggles to open up but is striving to be a hero which he is given the chance to be when he is recruited by his childhood friend, Tifa, to help the anit-ShinRa group Avalanche destroy the Mako Reactors that are being used by the electric company to suck the planet dry of it's lifeforce. At first he has little interested of their goal of 'protecting the planet' and only wants to get paid. But, after meeting Aerith Gainsborough-- an ancient and reuniting with his fated rival Sephiroth, he throws himself fully into the battle to save the planet and discover the truth about his past and who he really is.

Hey, is everything alright there? I hadn't heard back from ya yet a couple weeks ago, so I kind of wondered if all were well on your side of things there. Did I...say something wrong or act out of accordance somehow in my previous comments..? I do apologise if my enthusiasm and excitement to come across someone from long back whom I thoroughly enjoyed writing with, but I did not mean I'll by any of it, so please forgive me if I sounded a bit ecstatic. Anyhow, I'm sorry if I caused any misdeed and I do hope you're doing well. I didn't mean to badger ya either as I know you're pretty busy with work during the week. Only, you'd been silent ever since you switched over, and that kicks my anxiety a little.
“So ... what now?” Crimson orbs gazed up at the now cloudy sky sort of in a daze amazed by the view of not seeing the steel pizza plate that she was used to after battling the most difficult opponent knowing this was far from the end as HE was still out there. Head tilt back for one more second bringing it down then averting her gaze to look upon the broad sword attached to the blond ex-soldier’s back. A swarm of emotions running through her body, she couldn’t even imagine what he was going through at this moment wondering if anything she would say would even comfort him.
Up until this point, it has been an ongoing conflict since the day she left Nibelheim not by choice after her hometown was engulfed in flames. However, the day at Aerith’s garden standing there in the night with only the eerie silence surrounding her, he had found her and given her solace allowing her to be vulnerable while tears fell uncontrollably. A sense of weakness and feeling rather stupid so powerless that she was unable to protect those that were close to her she had then felt strong arms grasping her which made her violently sob letting all the tragedy that was built inside release. Never knowing back then how far a promise would go, she pressed her forehead harder against his broad chest while staying in his embrace until he had squeezed too hard, it was as if she couldn’t breathe no longer telling him he was hurting her. Once he released his hold, she stepped back smiling and thanking him.
Now standing here after they had gone through more turmoil, feeling the wind pick up caressing her cheek causing her long ebony ponytail to sway, scars of yesterday and today will always remain even after the wound has healed she knew what she wanted; whatever path Cloud decides Tifa was going to follow him. The unknown journey was about to begin and she wasn’t going to let him face it alone.
"Sure thing Cloud!" After mixing the contents in the shaker, she poured it into a glass sliding it over to him. "I hope you're staying in Midgar for awhile."

Behind the Savior: Yo, thank you for accepting my request. I'm honestly not the best when it comes to 'breaking the ice' and greeting everyone around here, but I do appreciate those of you who accept/add me and manage to bare with my awkwardness. If at any point you would like to get a story going please feel free to reach out to me and we can get a discussion going---or if you prefer to work more spontaneously you are free to send a starter my way or ask me to send something your way. Chatting is also more than acceptable on this page so if you aren't ready to write just yet that is fine as well. All in all I hope we get the chance to have our characters interact one way or another. Until the time comes please take care and happy writing.
Howdy Dude; not sure if my last comment reached ya, but I wanted to make a start an' toss out some ideas I were mulling over between two different time arcs of the VII frame. So we could mayhaps kick things going a bit quicker, straight into writing something asap.
Whelp. I have an idea for both post Advent Children era in that apocalyptic world environment trying to recover and rebuild, and another within the Remake era on a slightly more…humourous spin on things despite the darkness of the plight.
As for the AC post story; seeing as the world relies on limited supplies, natural resources being slim denouncing Mako and the fall of Shinra which led to the WRO being established to try and bridge that hole for stability — added the uprisings of Deepground and Geostigma taking their toll too, things haven’t been easy in the survivors of Meteorfall. I figured they’d be many issues out there, and even those who take advantage of the situation in a “step of be stepped on” kind of mentality. The stronger prey on the weaker. With a group known as the Thieves Guild cropping up that has been preying on WRO supplies, shipments and towns across Gaia, stealing anything from food, fuel and medical supplies. I figured Cloud could initially be hired as a bounty hunter — taking up the odd jobs in between his delivery service for some extra gil on the side, and his easy access to that line of work with a motorcycle to transport his queries to the authorities who hired him in the WRO. I thought we could start off something there with Cloud being hired to pick up Marthe, pinned as his latest hunt, although things evolve as he comes into contact to find that there is an even bigger issue at hand with those Marthe works for in the Thieves Guild, that could lead to Cloud having to maybe infiltrate them to undo what they’re doing along with keeping his query on a tight leash.
The second idea I had involved the Remake era: Heading things off with Cloud looking for work in the slums of Midgar, trying to build his notoriety up for his profile as a merc. Marthe would be stuck in the slums in a predicament of trying to get top side to the plate ever since arriving in Midgar — seeking vengeance on the Shinra, not only for torching his home village —Murdering everyone he has ever known and loved during the invasion of Wutai, setting himself an insurmountable task of trying to get into Shinra’s upper world to take revenge, alas..l needing proper attire and identification proving the issue. Figured that’s how they could cross paths; with Marthe tricking Cloud into a job, only to lead him into a trap that befalls him losing his SOLDIER uniform to the thief in question. Humiliated, and some pride struck off—he’d have to track down the thief in the slums for sure to try and recover his stolen attire and equipment. Which might add to some humourous altercations happening, heh. But just something to mosey on from.
Gonna leave that there with ya; and or if you'd like to add onto those ideas, or maybe present your own dude, I'd be down. Just really happy to be able to write with you again. I hope your job on the first day went well, and I had no idea you were a vet, that's awesome, I'm a huge animal lover and weak for dogs especially.
