From the dawn of her existance, to much of her adult life, Hera Syndulla had been fighting for her life and her freedom. From seeing the droid occupation, to the rise of the Empire, and then on to the Rebellion and even well into the resistance against the First Order~ Hera stood by her skills as a pilot and her dearest friends.
Born on Ryloth, Hera was a female Twilek with a nack for getting into adventure and getting into trouble, much at her parent's exasperation. She had her mother's wit, and her father's sense of duty and rebellious nature, which made her stubborn but loyal. But when war came to Ryloth during the occupation of the CIS< Hera's life would begin to see a different side of her adventures starting with the discovery of a C1 Astromech Droid, C1-10-P or Chopper as she would come to call it. Together they would travel and become life long partners. But when the Republic defeated the Separatist movement and became the Empire, Hera soon would understand that staying home was not her path. She would leave her planet eventually and end up with an old freighter and a motley crew which consisted of a renegade Mandalorian teen, a Jedi survivor, and a brutish Lesat warrior. Despite their distances, Hera made the crew into not only a decently coordinated team, but a second family.
While the crew performed small raids on Imperial settlements to help out the locals, Hera believed in something greater. A movement was established and slowly growing to root out the fledgling Empire, and replace it with the Republic. A movement which would later come to be the Rebel Alliance. However, her crew did not at first agree to openly fighting in a war with an already battle hardened nation whom was outfitted with the latest ships and weaponry. Yet, she insisted.
Eventually, Hera's crew would wind up on a small planet named Lothal, where they intended to steal a shipment of blasters to be sold on the black market, which would then be used to purchase food for the locals~ the likes of which had been desolate and starving while under Imperial rule. It was here Hera would encounter another crew member. A lone street savvy orphan, whom she adopted into her crew after his display of Jedi-like abilities.
