Stuart Harold Pot was the one and only child born to David and Rachel Pot on May 23, 1978. Born and raised in Crawley, England -- he had a pretty average childhood. While Stuart wasn't a very intelligent boy ( as a matter of fact he was described by his classmates as being 'A bit thick' ), he was known to be a kind person who had a general love of music. His parents recall a little ten year old Stuart bouncing around his room listening to The Clash, Augustus Pablo, The Human League and many more of the sort. When Stuart was just 11 years old, he had his first accident that resulted in head trauma when he fell out of a tree and landed directly on his head. This injury caused all of his hair to fall out, but even stranger.. when his hair grew back it was a deep azure blue rather than it's former black hue.
When Stuart turned 19, his life took a drastic turn and changed forever. He was working at a local shop called Uncle Norm's Organ Emporium and it was like any other day until a hooligan known as Murdoc Niccals purposefully crashed his vehicle through the from window of the shop. The bumper of Murdoc's vehicle crashed into Stuart's face, landing him an 8 ball fracture in his left eye and put the boy in to a vegetable state. Murdoc was arrested and sentenced to carry out 30,000 hours of community service as well as care for the comatose Stuart for 10 hours every week.
One year later, in a poor attempt to impress some women, Murdoc performed a 360 in a parking lot with Stuart in the front seat. This sent the blue haired boy flying through the front windshield and face first into the curb. His front two teeth were gone, his other eye now had an 8 ball fracture as well, leaving his stare blank and black. This action however did bring Stuart out of his coma and when he stood up, Murdoc knew he had found his frontman. He then dubbed Stuart with the nickname '2-D' to stand for the two dents in his head where his eyes once were. Murdoc went on to collect a guitarist (Noodle) and kidnap a drummer (Russel), taking on the bass himself while 2-D sang and played keyboard.
Thus, GORILLAZ were born.
2-D aka Stu-Pot aka Faceache.
The front man of GORILLAZ. ( much to Murdoc's distaste. )
Vocalist, Keyboardist, Song Writer.

[x] "Ah, Muds. What can I say about the bloke.. He's green and he's mean, always has been. I should know, i've been his personal punching bag for years now. But he's not all that bad. I mean, if he tells me that i'm a useless sod with a sock for a brain, who am I to question it? After all, I owe him for saving me life and giving me fame. If he hadn't come crashin' through that window all those years ago and drove his van right into me noggin, where would I be now? Probably just sodding off and raising worms in New Zealand. So thanks, Muds."
[x] "Noodle! Me little sister, me best mate and me protector all in one. I'll never forget the day she arrived in a fed ex box outside of Kong Studios. She jumped out, ready to rock and roll and kick some butt-- which she did all three very diligently. She's strong and smart and sharper than a tack and always looking out for the lot of us. Thank you for tying my shoes and keeping the migraines and bruises at bay. You are always taking care of me, even though it should be the other way around."
[x] "Russ, Russ. Good ol' Russ. He's a real one, that drummer. A true friend. He's had me back on several occasions, busted some noses on me behalf (ahem, muds.) He helps Noodle shield me from Murdoc's schemes and keeps the peace. Not only that but he is brilliant as well! I'll admit I don't have a clue what he is going on about half the time, but it all sounds very fascinating so I just nod along and listen. But that's our little secret. All in all, this a guy you want on your side. Thanks for always bein' a top mate, Russ."
[x] "Paula Cracker.. This is a tough one for me to talk about. I've still got a bad taste in me mouth from all that went down. We used to date, you see. She was originally part of the band when we recorded our first track 'Ghost Train.' Shortly after this, Russ caught her and Muds havin' a little rendezvous in the loo. He broke Mud's nose then told me about what had happened. Needless to say, she left after that and went on to carry out a successful life. Am I still upset at her for what happened all those years ago? It's a sensitive subject for sure and still makes me chest ache, but life is too short to be holdin' grudges. We all make mistakes."
