The daughter of Zeus, she was said to have sprung from his head fully grown after he impregnated and swallowed her mother Metis. Athena is associated with the olive tree and the owl.

Athena has dark-brown hair that is grown down to her waist and a little past it. Her bangs falling onto her face, red-brown eyes and her face expressions are usually calm and tranquil, though with Yuki Cross, she is usually seen with a small smile or most likely angry for some reason. It has also be known that the vampire students and Zero have gained the same reaction. Athena is not the tallest and is around the same height as Yuki and she has a rather lean build. Though, more mature where her chest is compared to Yuki. Almost all the boys in the Day Class (including a few Night Class vampires) find him attractive. Even Zero thinks that she's pretty attractive.
As Heriess of the Kuran Family with her brother and sister, she also dresses formally most of the time. Athena is seen wearing a odd uniform; A standard if not old sailor uniform from her previous school. At least, that was her explanation to the day class boys and girls. She is also seen wearing modest clothing.
Early on Athena is often seen as a teenager or one who is eighteen or twenty, but later on her body is healed enough for her to revert back to her adult body. Which is far more grown, she even has the same height as Ruka, which reaches Kanames shoulder. Her hair is often or not tied into a bun or left down, unlike her sister her own is long and curly. Athena is often compared to her ancestor Juri. On occasion, if she's feeling witchy she might go out in her own ball gown dress instead, but her formal clothes are usual the same.
