He was a gentlemen and it was making it increasingly hard for her to keep her composure. Juri also hadn't really expected him to handle her 'criticism' of his friends so well. Anyone would be a fool to try and argue against them being a bit on the loud and energetic side, but still many would make excuses. Kurama seemed to more so except the group for what it was and that was admirable. She gave a small nod of her head to thank him for the compliment. After taking a moment to think she grinned back at him.
"I was thinking seafood but I don't know if you'd feel comfortable eating such things in front of me." A joke in reference to her demon type. "The humans seems to find things like steak dinner to be rather lovely when being treated. Do you eat steak?" Her pace now matching his so they were walking side by side.ย
Juri blinked in his direction. A look of surprise spead across her face as she realized he had actually agreed to what she said. It was safe to say she wasn't expecting it and he caught her off guard. After clearing her throat and recovering from the shock of it all she reached out to take his hand in hers. An innocent gesture. Something she would have done had he been one of her friends or anyone else she was about to hang around with, but for some reason her face still grew a shade of red as she looked straight ahead and led him along. "Whatever you do just don't tell your friends about this little outing. They seem like the type to get worked up over a missed chance like this and I don't want to go out with the roudy group. I have a reputation to keep--or so they say."
In reality she wasn't worried all that much about the noise team Uremeshi came with. She was more so trying to make small talk to keep things going too quiet. Juri hated awkward silence and that seemed to be something she couldn't avoid when hanging around guys.
Juri took a moment to examine his expression before accepting the rose he had offered to her; a sigh of relief could be heard having taken note of his promise of sorts not to have any tricks waiting up his sleeve. "You flatter me. In that case I'll be sure to do my best and entertain. Can't go having a cute supporter of mines feeling disappointed in my abilities after all." Now with her hands resting in front of her with the flower still in hand her eyes almost sparkled at the thought that popped into her head. "Hey! What do you say I take you some place nice to eat. Give you a little taste of the fun side of the gig."
"That's a rather embarrassing thing to go into detail about." She let out a small and nervous laugh as she scratched her cheek; her eyes glancing off to the side to avoid any sort of eye contact. "I can say that it's a fun job that's for sure! You have the looks for it if you ever think about giving the idol life a try. I could probably pull a few strings or two. I don't have to worry about any foggy personality switch ups from you do I? A girl would like to know in advance if she is to come across another man eating plant or two."
"Is that right? Hard to believe you guys can go a day without causing trouble together. I suppose that is what happens when your type grow up. As for me I prefer a much simple take on life. Koto can have her crazy tournaments and dangerous men. I like living the good life of an idol." The demon put a hand to her chest and straightened up to appear taller. "I get what I want and I don't have to worry about dying every few seconds. The only thing I'm missing is---well that isn't important. You've probably seen me around on some advertisments or television. Humans love me just as much as the demons."
"Why are you staring at me like that for?" He asked emeralds narrowing at his target. Crossing his arms behind his neck he simply huffed, scanning the individual from head to toe Takashi couldn't helped but to sense something weird about him.
You remember me? I'm suprised and flattered. Well when you go ahead and apologize like that it's hard for a girl to hold a grudge. It wasn't that big of a deal I suppose...I mean I somehow managed to survive it all in the end so I guess I can forgive you. Bet if you'd take a break from hanging around the trouble makers you'd get a nice little break. Things have been rather safe for me since then. Koto wants to get another tournament up and running though and wants me to help out. I think she's bored with human-like work like the idol world.
Just great! It's another one of you Team Urameshi trouble makers. At least you'reย human....well kind of anyway.
