In the early 21st century, a mysterious ship crash landed on earth resulting in a cataclysmic event. Nearly all life was rendered extinct. But, within a hundred years, humans from a distant world recolonized and revived the world to her formal glory. Mostly. While the bulk of civilization was lost, its survivors assimilated with their off-world counterparts. And with them, a new cpesies was introduced from the distant world. These were the Zoids. Warriors by nature, Zoids constantly evolved to meet their combative nature.
Humans of both Earth and Zi worked tirelessly to revive those Zoids whom were buried deep in the earth after the catastrophy. And while some were revived to their former glory, others became corrupted. These husks, known as Jaminga began to appear in areas of the world which were left to rot in time. They were mere shells, dilapidated, and rusted while they shambled to their next victim-be it human or Zoid. To a Jaminga, they held no discrimination, only that they worked in tandem with other corrupted individuals. Alone they posed little to no threat, but in large numbers, even the most heavily fortified military bases would be hard pressed to fight them off, lest they become overrun and destroyed.
The true origin of the Jaminga has been largely debated among scholars and historians. Some believed that an illfated revival attempt corrupted older Zoids and that corruption spread throughout their stonified husks. While others believe a virus might be responsible for their behavior. In any case, anyone who encounters a Jaminga is advised to run unless they are well armed. They will not stop for anyone, and will attack anything on sight, ripping Zoid and human apart with ease.
