Andromeda, most notably known by her alias Athena, is a defector of the Snezhnaya region and a survivor of the Haeresys. When she was a child her parents were killed by unknown means leaving her and her brother to fend for themselves which proved to be rather hard. Despite their hardships the two lived together rather peacefully and did many off jobs to keep food on the table. Andromeda eventually grew sick with an unknown disease leading her brother to be recruited by the Fatui with the promise they could cure her and once he handed her over to their doctors the two never heard from each other again.
Under the Fatui's care she was subject to many different experiments which she cannot remember. All she does remember from her time with them was feeling afraid constantly and being in a lot of pain. During a fight at Haeresys Andromeda managed to defeat her opponent making it the first win since her arrival and also led to her opening for escape. She ran through the cold and harsh weather for days to distance herself from the Fatui until she couldn't run anymore and after passing out figured she'd freeze to death.
Instead she was saved by an old couple who realized who she had been running from. The pair nursed her back to health and managed to find her passage to Teyvet where she would spend the rest of her time in hiding from the Fatui and her own home left to wonder what became of her brother and if he knew what they were really doing with her. Though they managed to cure her disease she was always convinced they actually caused her to get sick and was somehow behind their parents death. Andromeda's grudge and hatred for the Fatui runs deep and she is often clouded by those feelings when dealing with matters involving them.
In Teyvet she became a delivery girl. Due to having a vision (pyro) she learned she could go further then most with the jobs she takes on finding it easier to fight of Hilicurls and other monsters that roamed the land. Not really having faith or trust in others she prefers to stick to herself and is only seen out in public for business. Her home is unknown though she spends a lot of time in Liyue and has even been noted to take on many jobs from the Funeral Parlor.
Later on through stories it can be revealed that she is also capable of using Cyro without a vision. This is due to the experiments done on her and is something she can't explain how it came about. All she knows is that using Cyro takes a toll on her body as it's not her true vision and the elements are constantly at odds inside her body. This is why she often finds herself in pain or randomly growing cold. She believes eventually her body will submit to the element and she will freeze to death.
Her goal is to one day find out what happened to her brother and take down the organization that caused her so much pain.

personaliy Andromeda has been described by those who have crossed paths with her as unstable. Due to her years of torment at the hands of the Fatui she has grown a distrust of most people and often lashes out and overreacts when she feels as though she is about to be betrayed. Though helpful and kind is a default personality trait she possesses it hides her deep hatred for the Fatui and the Cryo Archon. She enjoyed foiling the Fatui's plans in Teyvet any chance she gets which usually manifest in her mischievous side as it usually results in her playing childish tricks on it's members and sabotaging their work. She has grown to hate the cold and those who bring a chill with them leaving her to stay away from any Cryo users. Beneath all her hate and rage is an innocent girl who is afraid of being used to further someone else's will rather than her own. Despite her violent outburst and sometimes blunt words she loves children and is fond of them finding it nice to stop and play around with them when she can.
