Psyche is the God of Souls meaning he is the embodiment of both the free soul and the body soul. This allows him to have both physical and spiritual abilities, each one connecting to a person and a soul. He is able to tap into the workings of the human body; the flow of blood and the organs it runs through, and the memories of old wounds, both physical and psychological. Some of his abilities were gifted to him upon receiving part of Macaria's soul, which also landed him the title of Ruler of Isle of the Blessed.
Mind Manipulation
Psyche can make a person feel, hear and see anything he wants. He can change their environment to be anything, creating an illusion within their mind. If their mind is wounded, from past trauma or the like, it makes it easier for Psyche to get inside their head, taking less effort and making the experience seemingly easy. This affects Psyche mentally; the longer he concentrates or the more advanced the illusion, the harder it is on his own mind.
Heartrending
Psyche can control every organ in the human–and nonhuman–body. He can pull the air out of their lungs, slow their heart to nothing, and even bloat their stomach to the point of fulmination essentially turning them into confetti. Besides that, the God can focus on a single body part/organ and affect it without disturbing the rest of the body. If done over an extended period of time (during battles, long training sessions, etc.) this ability can cause him physical exhaustion.
Bloodbending
While this takes more concentration and affects Psyche the most physically, he can control the blood of a person. There are stipulations to this ability, however, that make it seemingly difficult, and in some situations, dangerous to perform. At first, only shown in rare times of panic and despair, Psyche can stop a bleeding wound, but only momentarily. He can not contain it for long, and he can not heal it. If forced to hold the bending for longer than a few hours, it begins to have severe repercussions on his physical and mental health. Over time, he learns to control it and can, eventually, do it with ease, though it is still taxing on his body and mind.
Unhealing
All things have a weakness, a spot in their being that hurts just a little too much to bare. Psyche, with his ability, can reopen "healed" wounds, be it physical or mental. He can make you relive your worst trauma, or rip open your deepest flesh wound. There is no limit to the number of wounds he can open; if it was once there, his mind can open it. It doesn't matter how the wound healed, if there is a scar, a mark, or any physical change indicating there was once damage there, Psyche can tear it open and make it fresh once more.
Divine Light
Granted this gift when he receives a piece of Macaria's soul, Psyche can channel her energy source within himself and create a ball of light. It has no defensive or offensive purposes. He uses this ability to maintain the "night sky" of the Underworld, alongside Persephone, who taught him how to channel it and use it in this way. Light butterflies fill the Isle of the Blessed with the essence of Macaria that's present in Psyche's body. He creates them and allows them to live amongst the souls in the Isle. However, there is a partnered ability with this, a light shield that is produced whenever Psyche is in danger, throwing itself around him and keeping him out of harm's way. Macaria herself controls this from inside him; Psyche has no control over the shield.
