Aurora Valacari roams the world with her familiar, Dark, who can take the form of any animal. His purpose is to assist her in battle by becoming her weapon; scythe, sword, axe- any melee weapon that her heart may be feeling at the moment. Dark is nonverbal with most communication taking place telepathically. Aurora has the habit of answering aloud, making conversations between the two appearing one-sided.
She was raised by a single mother who retired from her passion of acting and modeling to take full care of her. Aurora was seen as a sick and frail child due to her "various health conditions" because the truth did not come to light until her late teens.
At the age of 18, she set off to find her father, holding many questions as to why he left among other things. She had nobody to teach her anything, and because of that, grown to hate the vampiric side of herself.
Until one day, she found herself at an old shrine, greeted by a man with long white hair and porcelain skin like herself. As they gazed upon the sealed sacred Sakura tree, the truth came to light; that he was her father and the reasoning for his disappearance. It all laid within this very tree.
Sealed by the soul of a woman hundreds of years ago, it sits upon a vent to the underworld that someone out there wishes to tear open to unleash chaos upon these lands.
