Cloud is a young man with a lean and toned build, and spiky blond hair. Cloud has blue eyes, which glow due to him having being exposed to mako. Because "mako eyes" are iconic to members of SOLDIER, Cloud is often assumed to be one. Cloud carries a large broadsword as his weapon of choice, with his three trademark weapons being the Buster Sword (a massive sword over five feet long), a set of Fusion Swords (six individual interconnecting swords that form one similar to the Buster Sword), and the Hardedge (another large broadsword with a different shape). He also has a silver earring in his left ear.
On the surface, Cloud Strife presents himself as a hardened warrior, cocky and headstrong, coldhearted and disinterested in anything beyond completing the hired job at hand. He tells others, often dismissively and with snark, that he has no interest in larger causes, such as the plight of the planet, and appears unshaken by the devastation the bombings he helped carry out cause. He is cool-headed, and mostly carries himself as an expert and professional. Beneath the surface, Cloud is socially awkward, being well-intentioned but unsure how to carry himself in conversations, having difficulties to express himself. Many who are close to him begin to see through the cracks in his hardened persona, recognizing he is softer deep down. Through it all, Cloud is steadfastly loyal to his friends, harboring guilt if he feels he has let them down, and strives to be a hero. He is willing to go through any lengths, from fighting off powerful enemies alone, to crossdressing despite the discomfort to don a disguise, to keep them safe. This, too, does not fool some of his friends, who in turn look out for him when they believe he is out of his depth.
Cloud's greatest strength is in his swordsmanship. Though Cloud fell short of the standards of candidates admitted into SOLDIER, his swordsmanship nonetheless impressed one of the Turks. As a result of mako experimentation by Hojo, Cloud was greatly enhanced as a supersoldier, with superhuman strength, speed, and agility. This, coupled with him incorporating Zack Fair's fighting abilities into his own, made him capable of easily handling other SOLDIER members and Turks.
Rules
Hey, everyone! Cloud's writer here. Happy to be here with other fellow Final Fantasy fans. I do hope to provide a fun experience sharing our fandom throughout our interactions. So, to create the best experience for everyone, here are some rules that we can all follow:
1. Have fun. Kind of the point of being on here, isn't it?
2. On drama. Not interested. I like providing good vibes all around. So, if you're going to be dramatic over a Roleplay site, I think it would be best to sort your own issues out. Despite that, I'm still happy to lend an ear about any problems that you might have if you wish.
3. On Mirrors. I'll be happy to join your party. Definitely not the first and last Cloud writer on the Internet. We all like the character, let's all enjoy being fans of the character. For the sake of plot coherence, I can always write as an alternate version of Cloud.
4. On Romance. Cloud has his own issues to battle with, but, that doesn't mean that a romance couldn't develop between him and a potential love interest. Outside of the character, I'm straight. So, it would be a lot easier for me to write romantic stories involving other women. That doesn't mean that I couldn't write with men. I'd probably play them out as a joke: think the optional Gold Saucer date with Barret.
5. On post lengths and writing style. I'm flexible. I'll write in a style that you're comfortable with.
6. On timely replies. Sometimes I get busy. I obtain jobs that need fulfillment. So, if you haven't heard back from me, call for help: the Shinra company's probably got me locked up somewhere or something. Otherwise, just be patient. I'll find a way back to you.
7. On my resources. Use of the Steal materia on here is frowned upon. If you'd like help with any resources or anything related to your profile, just reach out to me. I'll be glad to lend you a hand with whatever you might need - for the right amount of Gil, of course.
And that's about all I can think of. If you follow these rules, we'll get along just fine. Let's mosey.
