What good is a wasted life?
Princess Alegria Honey was beloved by all, but little was known by most. Her carefully-guarded existence was restricted to royal grounds, lest she be kidnapped or killed. She carried a precious gift - the ability to speed the growth of crops and other vegetation. While this was a boon for her city and people, it was a prison. Desperate to be freed of this gift, she took matters into her own hands. On the eve of her twenty-second birthday โ she disappeared.
Now, sheโs Amaranth. Desperate to evade the far-reaching tendrils of her royal lineage, she hides with the hope that one day, she wonโt have to.
One day โ sheโll witness her own funeral.

Sanguine and more than a little socially awkward โ Amaranth hasnโt quite figured out how to fit in. A high-society upbringing makes her reserved, demanding, and entitled. Unlearning this upbringing is hard enough โ and it doesnโt make hiding any easier. Relatively even-tempered, thereโs constant turmoil under the surface. Prideful, envious, and inexperienced, sheโs constantly on-edge. Her brick faรงade hides a delicate and sensitive child, sheltered from the world for far too long.
