It would not be an exaggeration to say that Tomoe's unbound abilities elevate him very nearly to a god himself, and a short-tempered one at that. His powers, charm, and good looks make him highly desirable as a shinshi among the many envious gods of he and Nanami's acquaintance, and a source of terror to other yokai. Nor can it be denied that Tomoe can be a hard worker when he sets his mind to it. Though he certainly enjoys his leisure time, he takes very seriously his duties as a shinshi of Mikage shrine, and is meticulous in ensuring that everything is kept clean and in good repair on a daily basis. He also protects and cares for Nanami, handling all the cooking, cleaning, and laundry while she is at school or practicing her divine powers. Though he himself does not need to eat, he threw himself into the perfection of his culinary skills with very positive results. This too has become a weapon in the clever fox's arsenal, as he will passive-aggressively insert sh*taki mushrooms into Nanami's food when she has irritated him in some way, or threaten to cook an enemy or turn them into sashimi. Kitsunebi (Fox-fire): Tomoe is able to control enchanted blue flames called kitsunebi, allowing him to burn anything around him at will. In the anime it is shown that the kitsunebi have short-life spans, dissipating once their job is done, as well as being able to talk and have their own personalities. Tomoe used this ability many times, such as when he was trying to burn up Yonomori shrine and when he is fighting. Transform: He uses enchanted leaves to transform himself or someone into something else. He transformed Kurama into an ostrich while he turned Himemiko’s servant into a fish, threatening his enemies to cook them. He was also able to transform in Nanami and substitute for her when she was sick and couldn't go to school. Another time this technique was used was when he was mortally wounded by the God of War 500 years ago in the past, transforming himself into a child in an attempt to deceive people into thinking he was a human, not a yokai.

But, the one downside to Asami's life, is that she is incredibly sheltered.She's been homeschooled from a young age and she's never really had any actual friends of her own. Like her sister, Panty, who represents Lust, Stocking represents Sloth with how her passions are only brought out in extreme situations or when Panty is picking on her. Stocking seems to be obsessed with food and sweets just as much as Panty is obsessed with sex, her favourite hobby is trying different sweets and delicacies from both Heaven and Earth, but seems disinterested in engaging with the rest of the world around her. Although Panty lets her obsession for sex control her to the point of not doing her job as a ghost hunter, Stocking is seen to be more self-aware of her obsessions and doesn't let her laziness/slothfulness get in the way of doing her job, which allows her to defeat enough ghosts to be allowed back into Heaven. Stocking hates spicy food, just as much as Panty hates sweet food. She does not get along with Brief, either. Stocking is sometimes overshadowed by Panty when in larger audiences, such as "Sex and the Daten City" and "1 Angry Ghost". She is almost always seen carrying around a plush cat, Honekoneko (named "Bone Kitten"), whose expressions often match Stocking's mood. She loves Honekoneko dearly and won't let anyone touch him. She is sometimes referred to as a big boobed angel warrior hottie. Like Panty, she is considered to be attractive by many men and women.

Panty is the personification of the deadly sin Gluttony in the series, which is emphasized by being a sex addict who doesn't care who she sleeps with and always seemingly dissatisfied, and by the X-ray of her brain during the opening sequence, which shows her only thoughts are about both men and sex. Panty is also quite shameless, not caring when some broadcasters were able to see (and record) her panty-less, and even going as far as pole dancing in front of an audience, while on a live show. She also didn't see the problem with everyone seeing a porno she was in; instead, she just saw it as a regular movie. She also loves to live a celebrity lifestyle and takes advantage of it whenever she can. In the Manga Strip comic, "Executive Motion", she uses her celebrity status to move her and Stocking to the First Class seats on an airplane. Panty jogs to maintain her figure, and she is annoyed that Stocking doesn't have to exercise to be slender. Panty likes spicy food in general, and mentions disliking sugar (although she has been seen eating sweets throughout the series, even eating Stocking's Jean-Paul Heaven pudding in "Catfight Club"). She also mentions that being hungry causes her to swear more often than usual. Her favorite snack is Death Babanero potato chips. Whenever Panty hunts ghosts, she works in an incautious way. She often takes the more reckless route, using pure power to finish the job. However, this style of fighting has caused her to be wide open for attacks, including losing her panties in the heat of the moment and forcing her to improvise with either using normal weapons or other underwear.
