Rules

I guess that for my own sake, I should probably have a few rules up front so people will know what I'm about.

1. Communication: So I know that a lot of people here follow a "you add, you talk first" kind of policy, which to some extent, I agree with. If I add you, I'm gonna be the one to send the first message. Hell, I'll most likely send the first message even if you add me. Unless you beat me to it, which is no problem either, so long as we get some sort of dialogue going. As for getting a story discussion going, first thing I'll ask is if you have any rules if I don't see any on your page or blog, as a courtesy for the person I'm talking with. If I don't hear from you at all, regardless of who sends the first message, I regularly go through the friend list with a comb, and I don't keep those who don't speak or never have. Nothing personal, but I'm here to write first and foremost.

2. God-modding: Obviously, this is a given for practically everyone. Don't control my characters. I mean, really? What's the point in me even participating if you're just going to decide what actions my characters are going to take for me? That also includes changing my characters for a story, meaning I won't write them differently than what they are. I won't have a sudden loss of powers (unless there's a good reason), I won't change their personality because someone doesn't like it, etc. I've had people in the past break off a roleplay/discussion because of reasons like that, so I'm just putting this down as a heads-up.

3. Romance: I don't mind romance in a story, though it's not something that I actively look for, and there are things that I need to say in regards to it. Romance stays only inside the confines of the story. I don't ship my character with others and say they're in a relationship. What happens in roleplay, stays in roleplay. Now, my preference for romance itself is that it's something to be built up into, not just happens straight at the beginning. Doesn't make me invested. I like to see how it plays out over the course of time. It may even lead up to physical intimacy between the characters, or it might not. As you can tell, I'm a 'story before smut' kind of person. It's just my preference, and that can be written out, or simply fade to black. I don't mind either way.

4. Crossovers: I'm pretty comfortable taking my characters into a lot of different verses and worlds, even places where they might stand out like a sore thumb. It's actually one of my favorite ways of roleplaying, and the most common. You can pretty much throw a dart at a board covered in different anime, video games, and other things and I'll have a general knowledge about it. And even if I don't, I'm perfectly fine going off to learn about it for our story. So bring 'em on. From Legend of Zelda to Final Fantasy, Dragon Age to Mass Effect, or anything else in between or so far out of the ballpark, I'd love to give it a shot.

5. Friends: I only add/accept people on my friends list that I legitimately feel I can make a good story with. If I don't feel a story is going to work between us, then I apologize, but it's gonna be a pass from me. I don't send out multiple requests, and I won't accept them either. Both are a good way to get someone blocked. Personally, I don't care about the size of my list, just so long as it's filled with good people. I don't collect friends, and I won't add anyone who I feel does. It's quality, not quantity.

More to be added if needed.
