HISTORY
Hello, Welcome Home
On December 14, 1875, Ceila Phantomhive and her twin brother, Ciel, were born to Vincent and Rachel Phantomhive. Their aunt Angelina Dalles helped to deliver them.
On her tenth birthday, Celia was running through the manor when she came across her dead mother, father, and dog Sebastian. She called for help and ran into Tanaka, who urged the young girl to flee. Before he could say more, however, Tanaka was attacked from behind by an unseen assailant who then grabbed Celia. She was subsequently sold and branded with the mark of a "noble beast" by the buyer.
At the cathedral, he was chained in a cage while masked adults looked on and remarked about what a splendid evening they would have. Celia sadly wondered why no one was there to help her, and she was stabbed while the rest looked on gleefully. Celia and her brother, Ceil had been held captive and were both tortured. She believed him to be dead, having seen him stabbed before her. She never saw Ciel again after they took his body away.
Fully embracing that there was no God coming to save them, Celia managed to summon the demon she later named Sebastian Michaelis. He appeared in his true form and told Celia that what she had sacrificed would never return. Sebastian asked Celia if she wanted to make a contract and have her wishes granted. Celia declared that she wanted the power to take revenge on those who mistreated her. The cultists tried to stop her from talking, but she and Sebastian forged their contract. Sebastian asked her where she wanted her seal, saying that the more visible it is, the stronger the contract is. Celia told him that anywhere was fine and that she wanted a power stronger than anyone else's; Sebastian called her greedy and decided to put it on her right eye, causing Celia to scream in excruciating pain. She then commanded him to kill her attackers; Sebastian then burnt down the building. Finally, Celia stated her absolute orders: Sebastian must protect and never betray her, obey her orders no matter what, and never lie to her.
The first place they went after these events was to the Royal London Hospital where her aunt worked; she was reunited with Tanaka, and a carriage was arranged to bring her back to her manor. She and Sebastian viewed the ruined manor, then visited the graves of her, her brother, and their parents. Sebastian left briefly, and when Celia returned to him, she found the manor had been rebuilt by the demon. Celia later took her place as the Countess of Phantomhive and the Queen's Watchdog. She established Funtom Corporation in the same year, fulfilling her and her brother's childhood dream of opening a toy store in London.
Sebastian endeavored to recruit servants for Celia. After successfully recruiting gardener Finnian and housemaid Mey-Rin while house steward Tanaka was on leave, Sebastian introduced Baldroy to Celia as an American soldier who will be serving as chef.
