Rinoa came into Raziel's world by chance, trough a disruption in the fabrics of reality thanks to Rinoa's new found powers and the calling of the world of Netharis. Now Raziel travels with the young sorceress, teaching her the ways of his lands and helping her find a way back home.
The Rival
Kefka
A long time rival of Raziel's, Kefka has been around for eons. The clown often tests the elf's moral compass, kidnapping friends or loved ones and seeing if the elf will rescue them or kill them. Other times, Kefka just floats around the elf whispering dark temptations to try and convert the elf and unleash death upon the mortal races.

Raziel doesn't know much about this mercenary outside of the fact his name is Leon and he likes a strange game called Blitzball. The elf doesn't care too much, as this mercenary was the only one to stand beside him in the face of certain doom against God Kefka and the enraged Kuja.

Raziel is one of the two twins born from the union of Pheradeth and Kazara Cyridania in the Arkadian Desert within the Moon Wolf Tribe. Raziel lived a rough childhood, always being the weaker of the two twins and even in the entire tribe. However he made up for it with his speed and cunning. Eventually he'd lose everything during an Orc raid on his tribe where everyone but he and his brother were murdered. Raziel would strive to survive as he traveled alone, with his brother captured by the Orcs, to Zemnira where he'd train in the martial arts and way of the assassin. From there, Raziel would rescue his brother and eventually take on the life of an adventurer, falling in love for the first time with a Wood Elf named Aileen and she would be the one to give birth to Sai and Ziri.
Raziel would receive word one day that Aileen had died during an ambush on her scouting party, and that she left behind two twins named Sai and Ziri. These were in fact Raziel's children, born of Arkadian and Wood elf blood. Raziel would take the two children in and begin teaching them how to survive as elves, and instruct them on what being an adventurer was like. Eventually, Raziel would continue his journey as an adventurer and monster hunter, leaving his children in his brother's care while he was away.
During one faithful quest, Raziel would come face to face with the most perversion of death in the form of the Lich God Corrin. Raziel would face this evil god on his own, not wanting to risk the lives of his friends and family. During the fight, Raziel was critically injured and in desperation he would use the wish spell asking for the divine power to rival the God of Undeath. Raziel was granted this wish, imbuing himself with the power of the gods and becoming the God of Fate. Raziel was then able to see all possible outcomes in the span of a second, and he acted using a forbidden spell to banish Corrin. This would shatter the pocket dimension he was fighting the Undead God in, leaving Raziel in the Material Plane to fade away if it weren't for the help of his friends and allies to bring him back to health.
There is another legend, to which Raziel destroyed the entire region of Zemnira in order to slay a demon lord. Such a spell sent him and his children into another realm called Eorzea where Raziel and his children were nursed back to health. It is here that his story among the Fourteenth takes place and he learns that his powers in Eorzea opens up many opportunities for him and his kids.
Raziel travels Eorzea, fighting primals and other monsters in order to make a name for himself before he is thrusted into a war in one of the mirror worlds against the menacing clown Kefka. Seeing the likeness between the clown and a long forgotten necromancer, Raziel does everything in his power to try and stop the God of Magic.

The Kids
The children of Raziel Cyridania and Aileen Shadowleaf, Saichiel and Zirella Cyridania were born in the Avalonian city of Lunga. The twin kids lost their mother when they were but five years old to which at the time Raziel had no knowledge of their existence. Word was sent out to the rogue assassin of his children, to which he showed up immediately after Aileen's death.
Saicheil, or better known as Sai, took on the path of his mother in becoming a master in navigating nature as a ranger. Armed with a longbow and two short swords, Sai is a formidable opponent. He can be just as sarcastic and care free as his father, even if he hates to admit it.
Zirella, or Ziri, is the more well mannered of the twins. Taking up the oath to be the light in the darkness of the world of Netharis and to uphold the balance of nature, Ziri makes for an excellent Paladin who does everything in her power to protect those who cannot protect themselves. She often looks up to her father as her idealized hero having witnessed some of the feats he has performed and heard tales from bards far and wide of other feats. Zirella is truly proud of her father, and strives to be come just as much of a legend if not more than Raziel.
