Origins: Casey's beginnings differ based on which version you look at, in one he became a vigilante due to to many cop shows growing up, another has him avenging his family's death at Huns hands, yet another has him join up with the turtles as a young kid, and so on...
Personally: Casey has been described as unstable and hard headed, with a temper that can match or even surpass Raphael's. When it comes to friends and his adoptive family (the turtles) he is extremely loyal and protective, willing to drop whatever he is doing in order to help. When it comes to fighting the Purple Dragons, Casey has been known to cross the line, beating members of the gang near to death. This has caused the Dragons to place a bounty on his head, one that only grows with each failed attempt to bring the brawler down.
Skills: Casey is highly skilled at both unarmed and armed combat, able to use pretty much anything he can get his hands on as a weapon. Whenever he is out hunting criminals he carrys a golf bag full of bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs, and other various sports equipment to use as weapons. He is a skilled mechanic, able to fix vehicles and craft weapons (albeit much more crude than anything Donatello could make). He is also skilled at ice skating and roller skating, able to incorporate them into his fighting styles.
