Nelly works as a private detective, mostly for murder cases, and lives together with her younger brother, whom she has raised since they were young.
She works mostly by herself, but has recently been partnered up with Tao Yu, a young information broker requested by police to help with the "Angelmaker" case. Much to her surprise, this slowly built into much more than just a partnership.
After a gruesome and traumatizing past, Nelly fled to a small town in England to try and live her life without any sins. While working as a waitress in a nightclub, she was approached by a mysterious person, who showed her how to live as a 'paranormal', a human with powers. In the Angelhive organization, paranormals are allowed to live a comfortable life in exchange of going to missions and taking care of paranormal problems, such as creatures normal humans should never see.

Alarik's health is very heavily affected by the weather too! They have to keep him! They're such a wholesome family. Alarik has really walked into a blessing of a time. Usually he doesn't.

A close friend would describe Alarik as incredibly shy at first, but craving human connection none the less. It takes a long time or him to be comfortable with physical contact and has to trust a person implicitly before genuinely returning any physical affections, even as simple as a hug.
Despite his skittish nature he is a kind and giving individual, who puts others and their needs above all else. But still keeps even his closest at arms length at times, as if harboring a deep, dark secret.
