The one and only son of King Regis and Queen Aulea, the crown prince of Lucis and thus the heir to the throne and Caelum blood line. When Regis heard Aulea was suddenly entering into labor, he and Cor Leonis (the marshal of the Crownsguard and Regis’s close friend) dropped everything and raced the Regalia to the hospital in such a manner that they damaged the car enroute. Regis was elated at Noctis’s birth but sadly, Aulea died shortly after his birth due to complications. He was raised solely by his father and helping hands around the castle, one of which included a young Ignis Scientia who became retainer to the young prince when he turned three years old. It was just two short years later that Regis learned by way of the spirits of the old kings that his now five year old son is the Chosen King prophesized to sacrifice himself in order to save the world. He keeps this prophecy from Noctis however and allows his son to live a full and normal life. At the age of five years old, Noctis and his caretaker were attacked by a imperial serpentine daemon called Marilith during transport. His caretaker died protecting the prince and Noctis was severely injured along his back and legs and fell into a coma where he was trapped in a dream world. Here he came under the protection of Carbuncle who shielded him from forces that were trying to keep him from waking up. When he finally did come to, he was paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair for some time. For his safety, Regis took his son to Tenebrae where he met the oracle Lunafreya Nox Fleuret and learned of the Lucis Crystal and his role as the Chosen King to vanquish the darkness from the land one day. Noctis promised to do his duty and achieve this role without fully understanding what he was agreeing to, still unaware that by fulfilling his destiny meant he would have to die. Unfortunately their safety is not long lived as during their stay in Tenebrae, it is attacked by Niflheim, the very same that was suspected to have ordered the attack that disabled the young prince in an attempt to kill King Regis. General Caluca murders Queen Sylva in front of her children, Lunafreya and Ravus. Regis manages to escape with Noctis and attempts to take Lunafreya with them as well, but she refuses and stays behind with her brother who had been captured. From that moment forward, Tenebrae falls under imperial control. Noctis never fully recovered from his injuries sustained in the attack by Marilith and him and Lunafreya are unable to see each other anymore. Though they find a way to stay in secret contact by way of Lunafreya’s magical dogs.
Years later back in the kingdom of Insomina, it is evident that King Regis is aging rapidly. When a king of Lucis dies, their soul comes to reside inside the family heirloom, the Ring of Lucii, which allows it’s wearer to use the Crystal’s power and is inherited by the person next in line for the throne. However, using the ring saps the user of their life force. Regis was doomed to age prematurely due to his life energy being needed to maintain the protective wall around Insomina, the Crown City. Regis is very conflicted about putting such a burden on his son, knowing what his future held. Despite being royalty, Noctis is allowed to attend school outside of the citadel. It is here that he meets Prompto Argentum. At first, Prompto shies away from the prince after their first encounter is a clumsy one. This encounter however drives young Prompto to work hard to get himself in shape and introduces himself again to Noctis when they are in High School, acting as if they had never met but Noctis knew better. The pair quickly become best friends. Outside of Prompto, the prince didn’t have many other friends. He had his retainer, Ignis, who was constantly trying to get him to step up to the plate as the crown prince and he had his appointed shield and tutor in the ways of battle, Gladiolus, who was the son of his father’s shield. The latter saw him as nothing more than a spoiled brat, though his views soon change when ten year old Noctis saves Gladiolus's little sister from getting lost and hurt after she had wandered off in pursuit of a cat. Noctis takes the blame himself as to shield Iris from being scolded and thus gaining Gladiolus's trust as Iris later told him the truth.
At the age of twenty, it is decided that Noctis is to wed the Oracle Lady Lunafreya of the imperial province of Tenebrae to form a union of states. His father sends him out on a journey to Altissa, accompanied by his friends- Ignis, his royal advisor; Gladiolus, his bodyguard; and Prompto, his best friend. Noctis tried to meet with his father the day before they were set to leave, but the king was too busy with treaty-signing preparations. Lucis was to relinquish all territories outside of Insomnia to the empire in exchange for peace. Regis knew it to be a trap and didn’t tell Noctis of the true reason he was being sent away from the city with his friends, hoping that Noctis would one day understand his reasoning. After saying their farewells at the foot of the citadel, the four load up into the Regalia and set out on their jour to Altissa not knowing that it would be the last time they would see King Regis as well as the crown city standing tall.

" ha , as if she's one to give unwarranted advice. what a strange characteristic to have in a world filled with so much violence ; caring just seems to come naturally.

Wait, I think I'm rusty too? Ahh it's all about having fun and being creative anyways, so you're good! Rambling on is the best!! I do it all the time!! In fact, that's totally what I do best! Some would say, at least that's what I say, when I say it and and and I say it often!!! Whew now to the meaty part, I'm down for a storyline and discussion man, get those creative juices flowing and stuff, I'm open to most ideas so shoot away what ya got let's make it work! I like the sound of that! I also had this thought. Since Niflheim and Nibelheim sound so similar, we could have them be sister countries. Niflheim could have had Cloud sent in as a sleeper agent and he tries to assassinate Noctis but due to their friendship he feels conflicted about it. I thought it would be an interesting way to add some tension to the rp.
Thanks for the speedy response there. Wow, you're quicker than Prompto when it comes to being quicksilver, dad! But mustn't one always refer to the King with such formalities? It's the royal way in Lucis, is it not? It wouldn't be proper to not call you by the royal titles that come with the crown. Heh. Glad you would be up for portraying a future scenario within the XV universe there, it's something of a story I've been pretty immersed within trying to build from the future timeline where Noctis wound up with a good ending like the novella which he survived along with everyone and they broke free from the Astrals control on Eos, and he went on to have a son and heir to the throne.
Wonderful! Feels so good to encounter a Noctis that is just as enthusiastic as I am to embark upon such an adventure together and while building a fatherly/son bond outside of the Crown City, all the while encountering the many dangers of the outside world while accompanying on a rite of Lucian succession in the tombs. Maybe even throw a spanner or two in the works of their trip, something like a rise of tensions beteeen the New Empire of Niflheim? You know all the thousands upon thousands of Prompto clones that were just manufactured and in the numerous Magitek facilities? After completing all of the content it had me curious what did happen to all the entirety of the clone army in stasis after the game's end. Could even be interesting to have a antagonist Prompto harness Noctis and his private trip given his close their Prompto is to them.

As for an rp we could have Cloud come to the crown city to act as another guard for Noctis? They could talk about their fighting game moments with Cloud in Smash and Noctis in Tekken. Those are just some things off the top of my head.

Would you care to allow us to share in coming up with a story to begin our adventure? Of course; it depends on what your preferences are, but there are so many opportunities to be had in our world of Eos, with so many roads we can take I'm sure there is plenty to explore. But given the timeline I hope you don't mind roleplaying as an slightly Older!Noctis for the story in that Noctis survived and continued on like in the novella becoming King.
Some of the ideas I had in mind would either begin in Insomnia itself with the daily tasks and routines of being a crown royal, or taking a venture out of the city on some kind of journey to birthright of a heir of the Kingdom that could lead to dangerous situations. Something akin to the tomb seeking like Noctis had to embark upon to reclaiming his throne and powers. I always found that part of the story intriguing how a royal blood obtains his power of Kings. A road trip between the two of them would be awesome though. Of course; the whole bonding between father and son is always something I would love to further upon, especially after seeing how Regis spent so much time to treat his son in the time they had together.

Hey there Prince Naptis! Pray you ain't Noct-ing out with interest in sticking around. Much appreciated with the add acceptance, Highness! Just wanted to drop in a greeting to get the ball rolling here with regards to a role-play, or at least kicking up a discussion. I wasn’t sure if ya referred comments or messages, so I just went with comments for now; but if that isn’t good then just lemme know buddy.

Do ya have any preferences whilst on the topic of role-play? Like where exactly we role-play from (considering crossover from the XV universe or my verse Noctis has partaken within like Tekken style, AU ect), or anything else. I thought I'd ask ya beforehand, so that I can gauge at whether or not it'd be best to role-play from in that retrospect, so let me know what would be your preference for portraying him in time frame wise. I'm sure an able prince like yourself can slip into many scenarios, so I'll let you give me the low-down what you'd be most keen to delve into.
I can adapt to many situations and scenarios so... and have a fairly good idea what I'd be keen to dabble into for a role-play from the XV scenario side of things, but I thought I'd ask and see what you'd be up for first before throwing out random ideas off the bat, if that works for you, just let me know. I do have some ideas in mind myself-if you're interested in hearing them out-that we could play out. It all depends on how you would like to proceed and what you’re down for prince to venturing into.
