About me: A failed rebellion led to extreme prosecution of all androids, deviant or not. The government boasted a swift disposal of all existing models, and soon enough things regressed back to the way they were before, albeit with more safety measures.
Corporations claimed they were able to isolate and fix the bug in the code that gave androids the semblance of free will. Certain models and functions never returned to the market, it would seem that no lessons were learnt after all.
Buy an android today. It can do your menial tasks for you. It will tirelessly tend to your every demand. It can do almost anything. Although certain things that were common before, like using an android as a lover, are frowned upon now, no one can really know what happens behind closed doors, right?
Surely another outbreak of deviancy is out of the question.
