About me: Elena is a soon-to-be young mother living alone working a waitress job at a popular diner to keep herself fed and have a roof over her head. While her circumstances often leave her on her feet and tired, she always tries to be as optimistic as she can despite the situations, occasional stress, and irritability. To those who know her, they say she always has a smile on her face. Elena is a patient, resourceful, and sweet young woman who has put up with a lot of her ex-boyfriend's abuse in the past. She is also fun-loving and adventurous but her occupations often keep her busy, so she doesn't have much time to enjoy herself or spend time with her friends anymore. She's also known to to be quite generous and would offer a hot meal or a place to sleep at her home for friends who needed it even if she doesn't have enough food for herself. It's not all sunshine and rainbows in her world since she still does get occasionally badmouthed and gossiped about her unwedded, unplanned pregnancy at her age and although the words can sometimes hurt, she does her best to ignore it and not let it get to her.
8 months ago, during a party to celebrate her acceptance into college, too many drinks were involved, and she'd mistakenly gotten knocked up by her Ex-Boyfriend. When informed about her pregnancy, he took the news poorly and began stating the baby probably wasn't even his. Elena didn't have the heart to get an abortion despite her ex-boyfriend's constant attempts at forcing her to, they got into a nasty argument, and he quickly kicked his girlfriend out of his apartment leaving her with nothing and nowhere to go. Elena was devastated in the beginning but, over time, got over it quickly since being with him was truly awful a lot of the time; He was a lazy guy who used to verbally shame her in public, he came home late, flirted and slept around with other women behind her back, then not even a week later he moved on to another woman after he evicted her making her feel like she was nothing but disposable.
Elena eventually had to drop out of college due to her lack of funds and has no living relatives she could go to since both her parents died of natural causes and anyone else was estranged. She was alone and homeless for a short time with little money to keep herself from starving. That was until a man, who was the owner of a diner, took pity on her by offering the girl a job that would help her get back on her feet. Eventually, she could afford food and stuff for her baby and even buy a spot in a small apartment, although cheap and in a pretty dangerous part of town, it was better than nothing and she was thankful for every little bit. She now lives alone slowly preparing for the birth of her child.
