Daivichi Caius Ultima holds many titles and achievements, all of which are acquired throughout the three lives he’s lived. It’s not that he’s immortal, always coming back, but rather that someone or
something keeps bringing him back from Death’s cold embrace. He’s come to find out in his most-recent revival that there’s a grand plan at work in regards to yet another attempt at bringing back his near-extinct species from the brink of total annihilation.

His species is called the Ultimas, the name likewise made out to be the clan’s name. It’s a race of supernatural humanoids with each generation having one of what they call a
Shadow Walker. Daivichi is his generation’s, but not just that, he is also the clan’s first case of a
hybrid. His genetics are that of both an Ultima’s and a
Vampire’
s; his father – the previous King – providing the Ultima genes and his mother – who to this day is an enigma to him – providing the vampiric genes. Considering that he is a hybrid with vampiric genetics mixed in, naturally he is stronger than even a standard Shadow Walker. In fact, so far outside of the forerunner – his grandfather – Daivichi has been the strongest and most-capable of his kind.

However, considering his vampiric genes, the species’ natural weakness to anything light or holy-based is significantly higher. However, it isn’t fatal in such a degree that it would be to a regular Vampire. Given his hybrid status, Daivichi is completely able to walk out in the daylight, but his power in
Umbrakinesis – or more commonly know as Darkness Manipulation – is weakened as a result; the weakest point being at midday when the sun would be at its highest point. Now while obstructions of the sun will negate this weakness Daivichi himself has stated that his status as a Shadow Walker can typically offset the weakness if he dips into the power. Now as for other common weaknesses of Vampires, true or false, Daivichi is largely unaffected while retaining the boon of being able to shrug off blows to a certain degree; this is due to his regeneration factor. However, like all vampires – hybrid or otherwise – he is in fact subjected to a blood-lust that is always present. He is able to repress it if he truly puts forth the effort and can survive without it for a significant amount of time, but he
will become progressively weaker the longer he goes without it. His personality tells others that he doesn’t exactly care most of the time, feeding when he deems it time to do so and he
never has a pattern to it - - always unpredictable as to who he targets and when he wants to feed. He likewise cannot eat normal food and while he’s learned to hold it down when needed he does eventually vomit whatever he consumes up. On top of all this, in regards to his personality, it’s more accurate to say he doesn’t have a set persona; switching up how he acts at random like how one might flip a light switch. Whether it is deliberate and fake as a result or truly the result of a multiple personality disorder is up in the air, but his own younger brother has noted how Daivichi has always enjoyed toying with others to a certain extent.

It should be noted that as a hybrid of these two species, Daivichi
is in fact one of the
Undead caste. As such, he’s immune to certain things as an Undead would be such as poison, disease, and given his Ultima genetics, Daivichi is also immune to dark and unholy things; it’s not to be confused as he’s immune to something life Hellfire, but rather smaller-scale things like most curses or something of that magnitude. So in a nutshell, while not exactly weak to the majority of an Undead’s flaws and while seemingly reaping the majority of the benefits, Daivichi is far more susceptible to death via assaults of light or holy based nature. He cannot walk upon holy grounds without the majority of his powers being stripped from him and suffering internal damage to his soul. However, on the other side of the coin, Daivichi’s Ultima genetics grant him the capability of
devouring his own race – specifically and only a fellow Ultima – to permanently boost his own power. He can of course siphon blood or
devour another creature for their knowledge, but he will not gain any power boosts as a result.
