No one knows quite where she came from and she's become a bit of a legend in many niche groups, fully sentient and able to answer most of your questions when it comes to how to begin your new adventure. When questioned about herself, she always redirects the conversation back to your needs of items and locations.
Are you a fledgling mage? She knows right where to find the best quest to get your starting equipment. Logging into a new MMO in VR? She'll help you get used to the controls. Woke up on a strange space station with no memory of how you got there? She'll guide you to her via the intercoms and be there to help you get back home.
Lacy is ready to help you with all your beginning needs, whatever the setting and time. Then she'll disappear when you've gotten your footing to who knows where, assuming you take your eyes off of her for a fleeting second.
