For anyone who has been keeping up with us, we have'nt done much of anything lately except plot. Many of us have had a rough couple of years given the state of the world and the way of life. We are still committed to our cause and will always rise again. The Rising Phoenix
This is the symbol for the supporters of the Takayangi family who control the martial arts world. The 12 founding families are a group of clans that possess great abilities and skills as warriors, fighters, military, and politicians. Each of the 12 families have unique fighting abilities, powers, knowledge, or skill sets that make the organization strong. The 12 families are divided into 2 branches the white feathers, and the red feathers. It is said that the Takayanagi and the Rising Phoenix are roughly 2500 years old. Legend says that 2500 years ago Susanoo had 12 children from 12 different women who formed the beginnings of each clan.
THE FEATHERS
The feathers of the Phoenix represent the many that must come together to achieve their goals. The Phoenix bears the burdens and difficult task of protecting each feather. While the Dragon must make sacrifices to protect the whole.
White Feathers: These are people with no supernatural powers. They acquire techniques through hard training, martial arts, and knowledge. Through this training, meditation or thought and emotions; they may invoke upon the so-called 7 dragons which live within everyone and govern the powers of wood, fire, metal, water, and air. These indiviuals, while able to touch the Dragon's Gates is not able to open them completely.
Red Feathers: The Red Feathers belong to a pre-destined element in which they will be able to competely open the Dragon's Gate that is affiliated with their particular element. In rare cases an indivdual may posses an extra "Unique Dragon Gate" These dragons are different from the 7 dragons that govern over the elements. It is said that their dragon is the 8th element which was used in construction of the world. When they open their unique gate, a physical part of them changes.
Todou Academy
In the Kanto region of Japan, seven high schools are waging an all-out turf war for territorial supremacy:
Todou Academy
Kyosho Academy,
Seito Academy,
Yoshu Academy,
Rakuyo High School,
Gogun High School,
and Yoshu Private School.
These schools all belong to the Rising Phoenix Order. Todou Academy being the only one created by the Takayangi and the 12 founding families in the hopes of producing and finding the legendary โPerfect/Super-warriorโ without resorting to the heinous practices of other institutions. The students however, are unaware of this motive and simply view the school as a โfighting paradiseโ.
The Executive Council
The Executive Council is a group of students who are responsible for maintaining order and playing the role of mediator, judge, and jury when issues arise within Todou Academy. Members usually consist of upper class men from the winning club/group of the Election Tournament. The Election Tournament is held once each year to determine the strongest fighters within the Academy. The Executive Council President is voted in by the group of the winning team.
The Executive Council has little to no restrictions placed upon them. While teachers, staff, and administration are always available as resources they rarely interfere in the business of the Executive Council.
Enrollment
Ooc: All new members can enroll their character in Todou Academy. Rpers DO NOT have to rp in the school environment if they do not wish to. While we are not strictly a 'School Verse' Role-play group Todou Academy does provide the opportunity to give your character a little background and history if you wish to do so. We are currently discussing Events and Contests but will not commit to any at this time.
