it wasn't enough A very mysterious woman, mischievous even. Though, at first glance she would appear to be rather crazed, she does have some common sense to her, surprising most. Even more, she tends to act motherly toward those she is close to, but still maintains her unpredictable personality and touches with the occult. She treats her Pokemon like her own children, girthing her mother-like nature.
She prefers to be called Hexy. Not the most stable, but rather sweet. She is just a little loopy, but at the same time it's exaggerated as part of the persona. Yes, being a Hex Maniac means that you've got to act the part. This means saying vaguely prophetic and ominous things when meeting strangers, trying to be spooky, staring at people for uncomfortably long periods of time and whatnot. Christine isn't the best at it, but she does her best. Underneath this gimmick is a lady that, first and foremost, enjoys the cuter things in life. Her definition of cute is skewed, thinking that a bipedal isopod is adorable, but it's difficult for her to keep up the Maniac act when confronted with strong forces not under her control. Even if she doesn't know it, she is profoundly lonely and seeks human companionship, even if she doesn't know how to go about it.
A bit loopy but loving
perfection garners attention, and attention is key. Inevitably, whether consciously or not, there will be trainers in the Pokemon World who will end up adopting a "theme", and these themes will end up often being shared between people. The Hex Maniac family is one of the more conscious ones. You see, one particular family was blessed with an inordinate amount of only daughters, and despite their differences, they all grew up into good friends...and you know what that means? Yes, it means "let's go and make a Pokemon team!" Styling themselves after witches, and more importantly actually studying dark arts unknown to modern science, thus the Hex Maniacs were born! Using their foul, haunted powers, Anina, Arachna, Aya, Carrie, Christine, Desdemona, Elle, Josette, Luna, Melanie, Osanna, Raziah, and Valerie dedicated their lives to fighting with Pokemon, and pretending they were evil! Of course, not everyone can keep up to the rigorous standards set before them. Christine, one of the older ones, grew to resent how everyone else chided her for not really getting it. Especially considering how she actually used a Pokemans that wasn't even a ghost or remotely spooky.

Family Trade: A rather skilled tailor, able to get quite a lot from little resources. If everyone decides they need matching outfits, you can't just get that at a store, you know?
Black Magic Woman: Yeah, she knows how to be a warlock. While she has the potential for magic, and the knowledge of how to pull it off properly, she needs time, effort, resources and education to actually do anything, so she can do two things with this knowledge right now: make a ritual to bring her back home, and use her body as a channel for spirits so the living can contact the dead. The latter causes some nasty headaches.
Pokeymans: Under her control are three monsters in little balls known as Pocket Monsters, which she carries around at all times. She'll fully abide by the International League Fighting Rules and only throw out one Pokemon at a time, per opponent, if it's an actual fight...but against non-pokemon, that's not a problem. Ignoring Pokeymans rules for a moment, they're able to do obvious things like tackling, punching and biting without knowing those "moves" because of course they can.
Pumpkaboo: Her most recent addition, Pumpkaboo the Pumpkaboo is the imaginatively named cohort that serves as the veritable mascot of their team. A little guy that seems like he's a lot more intelligent than he lets on. About a foot tall, and weighs around twenty pounds. Knows Explosion,* Leech Seed,* Shadow Ball,* and Astonish.*
Buddy: Forever a mark of shame on Christine's legacy, nobody can be afraid of a spooky Duskull named Buddy. Tends to be easily frightened itself, and Christine can't figure out what gender it is. Being a full-on ghost, physical strikes without any abnormal properties (ki, willpower, etc.) will not work against it. However, it can't touch anyone either. Knows Confuse Ray,* Will-o-Wisp,* Double Team,* and Disable.*
Mocha: A Golisopod, evolved from the first pokemon that Christine ever owned. Received from foreign relatives. Obviously this doesn't fit in with the rest, and therefore tries its best to be spooky, but tends to act more like the Pokemon equivalent of a Labrador: overly loving and friendly toward all, if a bit skittish in a fight. Over 6 feet tall and 250 pounds, it's a pretty strong Pokemon physically. Knows X-Scissor,* Pin Missile,* Surf,* and...nothing else, actually. Christine never bothered to teach it a fourth move.
Items: Proud owner of four, count 'em, four spare pokeballs, along with a couple of potions,* a revive, * and around $36,000 pokebucks.
